    Abstract: A roofing system including a cap shingle and methods of producing a cap shingle and forming a roof are disclosed. In one embodiment, the cap shingle can include at least one layer of shingle material including an upper surface having a headlap portion and an exposure portion, and a lower surface. A sealant can be applied along the lower surface and a sealant attachment zone can be positioned along the upper surface of the at least one layer of shingle material between the headlap and exposure portions. The sealant attachment zone can be configured to contact a sealant applied along a lower surface of a next cap shingle to promote adhesion between the cap shingles installed along a ridge, hip, or cap of the roof.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-blocks structure intended to be used as the core material of a composite part, comprising a plurality of elementary hexagonal columnar shaped blocks, arranged adjacent one another in a honeycomb-like pavement and interconnected by linking means to form a unitary plate, wherein the linking means are located on the first side of the plate and are configured to leave interspaces between the blocks and to authorize an angular offset of each block with respect to the adjacent blocks, so that the plate is allowed to deform from a substantially straight configuration to a curved configuration at least in the area of the offset blocks. The invention also relates to a composite part comprising such a multi-blocks structure and to a method for manufacturing such a composite part.

    Abstract: This document discloses a process for manufacturing recyclable injection molded microcellular foams for use in, footwear components, seating components, protective gear components, and watersport accessories. The process includes the steps of providing a thermoplastic polymer which comprises at least one monomer derived from depolymerized post-consumer plastic, inserting a fluid into a barrel of a molding apparatus. The fluid is introduced under temperature and pressure conditions to produce a super critical fluid. The process further includes mixing the thermoplastic polymer and super critical fluid so as to create a single phase solution, and injecting the single phase solution into a mold of an injection molding machine under gas counter pressure. The process further includes foaming the single phase solution by controlling the head and temperature conditions within the mold.
