    摘要: Fuel phase for use as a continuous phase together with a discontinuous aqueous oxidizing salt phase in water-in-oil emulsion explosives, comprising a carbonaceous fuel and at least one but not all components of a gassing system; process for the preparation of a water-in-oil emulsion explosive by emulsifying an aqueous oxidizing salt phase into a carbonaceous fuel phase and introducing into the emulsion voids by using a gassing system, characterized in that at least one but not all components of said gassing system is distributed in at least part of the fuel phase and that the salt phase is then emulsified into the fuel phase containing salt component; and a water-in-oil emulsion explosive system in two-pack form, wherein one pack comprises an aqueous oxidizing salt phase containing at least one but not all components of a gassing system and the other pack comprises a carbonaceous fuel phase containing the remaining components of said gassing system.

    摘要: Explosion welding is used for splicing thick pipes (1 and 2) or the transport of oil and gas. A plating ring (4) and its explosive (7) are located inside the pipes, and a support (12 and 13) surrounding the two pipes (1 and 2) in order to limit the deformation occurring in the pipes (1 and 2) during the actual welding process. Since the pipes (1 and 2) are deformed, the support (12 and 13) will also be deformed. To enable repeated used of the support (12 and 13), the section (20) thereof which is subjected to the deformation is replaced by an elastomeric material.

    摘要: A two-piece, telescopic climber, which is insertable into a drillhole behind cylindrically shaped explosive charges, alternately advances one and then the other of its two telescopic pieces in the direction of the drill hole thereby to urge the charges forwardly thereof into the hole. Each piece has thereon means which expands outwardly against the wall of the drill hole to hold that piece stationary while the other piece advances. At least one of the two pieces can be removed from the drill hole to be used repeatedly.

    摘要: There is disclosed a connector for conductively connecting the stripped ends of two insulated conductor wires without requiring the use of tools or insulation material such as insulation tape. The connector comprises an outer sleeve into which is fitted a shorter inner sleeve. The stripped end of one of the conductors is inserted between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve and secured to the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is secured against axial displacement within the outer sleeve and rotation relative thereto. The stripped end of the second conductor is inserted into the inner sleeve and the stripped ends of both conductors are of a length such that they protrude from the inner sleeve into the outer sleeve. These protruding end portions are joined by helically twisting the wire ends by axially rotating the sleeve assembly while holding the conductor wires protruding from the outer sleeve.
