    摘要: This disclosure relates to an annular centrifugal extractor with Solid Separation Part to Separate Solid Particles Present in Solvent Extraction Fluid. In order to remove solid particles from the solution, a solid separation part/rotating bowl is attached to rotating bowl in such a way that solid particles settle inside the solid separation part. This solid separating centrifugal extractor contains two parts: (I) upper part which acts as a liquid-liquid separator to separate aqueous and organic solution used in solvent extraction operation and (II) bottom part which acts as a solid separator to separate solid particle present in solvent extraction liquids. The bottom rotating rotor is coupled with upper rotating rotor by threading arrangement. Both the rotating rotors are confined within a stationary cylinder. Dispersion with solid particles entering inside the rotating bowl is deflected towards the wall of the rotating cylinder by deflecting baffle by centrifugal sedimentation.

    摘要: A system for on-line detection of incipient cracks in turbine blades to serve as early warning system for turbine blade failure. The system of non-intrusive detection of turbine blade condition of the invention is simple and cost effective and would enable assessing the health of the turbine blade during plant operation, which is extremely important for the safe operation of the turbine in an operating power plant. The present method and system of identifying the presence of modulated blade passing frequency (BPF) for blade vibration that is not correlatable to the change in the operating condition and would thus be indicative of presence of cracked blades with incipient cracking. It is capable for verifying the Campbell diagram and ascertain the margin available between the natural frequency of the blade/stage and the steam excitation frequencies/engine orders.

    摘要: The novel lipophilic metal extractants of the class dialkyldiaza-tetraalkyloctanediamide (DADA) useful to selectively separate trivalent americium (sup. 241 Am) from trivalent lanthanides are represented by the formula 1: Wherein R is a C1 to C5 normal alkyl and R′ is a C4 to C8 normal and branched alkyl group. The compounds are synthesized at high yield and purity by the reaction of corresponding N,N′-dialkylethylenediamine and N,N-dialkyl-2-chloroacetamide. The separation is achieved by utilizing the soft-soft interaction between the trivalent actinides and ‘N’ atoms of the extractant. Both soft donor “n” and hard donor ‘O’ sites are incorporated in the molecule for better extraction of trivalent actinides over trivalent lanthanides. Thus, this molecule can be used as selective extractant to separate trivalent actinides from trivalent lanthanides.
