摘要: A rail infrastructure monitoring system enables integrated continuous monitoring and analysis of above and below rail assets, providing passenger and freight operators an end-to-end solution. Embodiments of the system comprise monitoring, coordinator control and display, communications, and business integration. Modern rail and transport techniques of providing integrated logistics are supported, offering improved safety, reduced total cost of ownership and the ability to increase capacity. Also, identification of links between different sets of data in ‘real time’ across all monitored infrastructure is enabled. Field hardware includes three modules: control; wagon master; and sensor, the latter communicating wirelessly with a wagon master module, and each sensor module is associated with a respective wagon or portion of below rail infrastructure. Sensor data values indicate the condition of either values outside the threshold alert of a train master via wagon master units or for below rail directly to the train master, which is then forwarded to a business component.

摘要: A novelty nail trimming tool 10 includes a metal chassis 11 comprising a base 12 a neck section 13 and a head section 14. The head section 14 includes a pair of guards 15 and 16 which are also configured as the eyes or feelers of a snail. The base 12 has a knurled or roughened surface 17 forming a nail file. The head 14 has a v-blade 18, while the neck 13 is set at an angle of about 30 degrees to the base. A handle 19 in the form of a snail shell 20 is attached to the base 12 by a hand insertable clip action into three slots 21, 22 and 23 by reason of upturns 24, 25 and 26 in the base 12.

摘要: A system, method and device for monitoring an aircraft, including activity taking place within an aircraft and conditions of the aircraft, where one or more a percepting component such as a camera, microphone, or other sensor, is situated at a location within the aircraft from which information may be ascertained. Preferably the component is disguised within the surfaces or instrumentation of the aircraft. The percepting component is connected with a communication mechanism to transmit communications from the system resident within the aircraft to a grounds portion of the system through a communication link, such as a satellite communication link. The system may process the information corresponding with the aircraft condition or activity and generate alerts when a trigger is met or exceeded. The system components on the aircraft may monitor conditions and activity without using or interfering with the aircraft instrumentation, the system using only the aircraft power.

摘要: A radar system for tracking UAVs and other low flying objects utilizing wireless networking equipment is provided. The system is implemented as a distributed low altitude radar system where transmitting antennas are coupled with the wireless networking equipment to radiate signals in a skyward direction. A receiving antenna or array receives signals radiated from the transmitting antenna, and in particular, signals or echoes reflected from the object in the skyward detection region. One or more processing components is electronically coupled with the wireless networking equipment and receiving antenna to receive and manipulate signal information to provide recognition of and track low flying objects and their movement within the coverage region. The system may provide detection of objects throughout a plurality of regions by networking regional nodes, and aggregating the information to detect and track UAVs and other low flying objects as they move within the detection regions.

摘要: A steering mechanism for a rail vehicle includes two steering arms, each including a pair of support arms that have a joining component with a recess. The two steering arms are articulated in a manner that maintains a minimum separation between the steering arms so that the arms can rotate relative to one another. The minimum separation is maintained by an insert that installs into the joining component recesses components of each of the steering arms. The insert has two sides, each side having a flexible material and forming a shape that mates with the recess. The insert provides resistance to the rotation between the first and second steering arms, and the resistance depends on the stiffness of the flexible material of the insert.
