Abstract: An apparatus includes a shaker screen onto which downhole materials and fluid from a borehole are to be placed, the downhole materials a product of a downhole operation and a shaker to vibrate the shaker screen to separate the downhole materials from the fluid. The apparatus includes a radar to emit an electromagnetic wave onto the downhole materials on at least one of the shaker screen and a transit and detect a reflection of the electromagnetic wave reflected off at least a portion of the downhole materials and a device to determine a velocity of the downhole materials advancing along at least one of the shaker screen toward a discharge end of the shaker screen and the transit.

Abstract: A concentration of at least one chemical reaction product in a drilling fluid is determined after the drilling fluid has interacted with a plasma discharge produced via one or more electrodes of a drill bit of a pulse power drill string disposed in a wellbore for drilling the borehole. The concentration of the at least one chemical reaction product is correlated to a relation between an arc and a spark of the plasma discharge. The relation between the arc and spark can subsequently be evaluated to determine updates to pulse power drilling parameters and/or to perform formation and drilling fluid evaluation.

Abstract: The excitation of processing paths in a microelectronic circuit is organized by providing one or more pieces of input information to a decision-making software, and executing the decision-making software to decide, whether one or more of said processing paths of the microelectronic circuit are to be excited with test signals. Deciding that said processing paths are to be excited with said test signals results in proceeding to excite said one or more of said processing paths with said test signals and monitoring whether timing events occur on such one or more excited processing paths. A timing event is a change in a digital value at an input of a respective register circuit on an excited processing path, which change took place later than an allowable time limit defined by a triggering signal to said respective register circuit.

Abstract: A safety valve for a wellbore for production of hydrocarbons from a surrounding subsurface formation includes a flow tube through which a flow of fluids from the surrounding subsurface formation downhole to a surface of the wellbore, wherein the flow tube comprises a lower end through which the flow of fluids is to enter the flow tube, wherein the flow tube is composed of metal, except for at least a cut out section of the lower end that is composed a polymeric material. The safety valve includes a flapper configured close the safety valve by changing positions to cover an opening at the lower end of the flow tube such that an impact force of the closing on the flapper onto the flow tube is at least partially absorbed by the polymeric material.

Abstract: A method includes utilizing a detection device comprising a detection mat having a plurality of detection coils, and at least one pair of groups of detection coils having a first group of detection coils and a second group of detection coils, and where the first group of detection coils includes a first impedance value, and a second group of detection coils includes a second impedance value. The method further includes determining alignment parameters representative of electromagnetic coupling between at least one pair of groups of detection coils of the detection mat and an electromagnetic field generated by an apparatus coil, and comparing the alignment parameters with a reference. The method also includes generating a control signal indicative of an alignment position of the apparatus coil with respect to the detection mat based on the compared alignment parameters.
