摘要: Wirelessly charging a vehicle battery may be performed using a plurality of charging coils. The offboard coils and the onboard coils may be spaced apart by different amounts, such that, when the vehicle is positioned in a vehicle charging space, at least one pair of an onboard coil and an offboard coil may still be substantially aligned for wireless charging, even when other coils are misaligned. The offboard coils may include sizes that are conducive to charge smaller capacity systems in some arrangements and are combinable to charge larger capacity systems in other arrangements. In addition, the use of relatively small coils may allow for flexibility in thermal management.

One or more optical sensors can be utilized to direct the charge transmitting device toward the target.

摘要: A concealed charging device of an electrical vehicle, as well as a method thereof, is provided, including a base body arranged, in a concealed manner, in an electrical vehicle. The base body is provided with an extendible member. A driving member controls the extendible member for reciprocal movement in a longitudinal direction on the base body. The extendible member is also provided with an electricity-conducting assembly, which includes a conduction member and an electricity-conducting member. As such, to do charging, the driving member controls the extendible member to extend in the longitudinal direction and the electricity-conducting member is collaboratively operating with a charging seat to achieve electrical transmission of electricity through the electricity-conducting member and the conduction member for carrying out charging to a battery of the electrical vehicle. Further, the charging can be performed while traveling.

摘要: The invention enables efficient wireless power transfer, and charging of devices and batteries, in a manner that allows freedom of placement of devices or batteries in one or multiple dimensions. Provided is a base unit for wireless power transfer or charging through a time varying magnetic field. The unit typically includes a magnetic material or layer that guides magnetic flux generated by a charger coil as to create a preferential path for returning magnetic flux from a receiver coil in one or multiple dimensions. The receiver may include a magnetic core having a magnetic permeability exceeding 1 with copper Litz wire around a ferrite core. With power receivers proximate to the base unit, the base unit coil may inductively generate a current in receiver coils or receivers associated with the power receivers. Uni-directionally or bi-directionally wireless communication protocols include NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, and etc. control and optimize power transfer therebetween.

摘要: A battery is provided that uses supercapacitors and battery cells connected by switches among themselves and to input and output terminals via multiplexed selection under the control of a microprocessor or microcontroller. The supercapacitors and battery cells of the battery may independently, or in combination, power an electric vehicle. The battery may be operated in several modes, at least one of which may be used to power an electric vehicle long enough to reach a charging station in connection with charge on the battery cells being partially or almost completely depleted. The battery may also deliver charge while the battery cells and/or the supercapacitors are being charged. The battery may be fast charging on-the-run in that the supercapacitors may be charged faster than the battery cells permitting an electric vehicle to be powered without spending considerable time, that would otherwise be required at a conventional charging station with traditional batteries.
