Abstract:
An insurance policy management computing system (201) stores a legally-binding insurance policy as a read-only document including the complete policy history. To facilitate revisions to the policy, the computing system (201) provides an opportunity (202) to revise an insurance policy and recalls (203) the currently legally-binding insurance policy. Since the legally-binding insurance policy is a read-only document, the computing system (201) uses the legally-binding policy to generate an editable version that is a complete copy of the legally-binding policy. Once the editable version of the insurance policy has been generated, the input revisions can be incorporated into the policy and then, the revised version of the insurance policy is saved as a read-only, now-current version of the insurance policy. The new legally-binding insurance policy has a new creation and effective dates of the various policy elements. To evaluate the insurance policy, the most recently bound legally-binding insurance policy is accessed and that document contains the currently effective policy, as well as the policy history.
Abstract:
A new variety of smooth cordgrass identified as ‘LA11-101’ is disclosed as being genetically different from ‘Vermilion’, the only other smooth cordgrass variety for the northern Gulf of Mexico, and as having rapid establishment and growth in natural brackish and saline marsh environments, and excellent seed set and germination.
Abstract:
A freestanding unit for securing loose items within the cargo area of a vehicle by propping items against a side wall of the cargo area includes a vertical wall section and bottom wall forming an overall L shaped cross section reinforced by molded ribs. The freestanding wall unit is secured to the carpeted floor of the vehicle's cargo area using continuous strips of hook and loop material. Two handles, situated one on either end of the vertical wall allow ease of use when removing or repositioning the freestanding wall unit within the cargo area. The handles are positioned at either end to provide a constant and steady peeling effect facilitated by the continuous hook and loop strips when removing the unit from a carpeted surface. The unit may be constructed as a solid one piece molded plastic part utilizing a tough and durable plastic.

Abstract:
Managing insurance information includes obtaining account information associated with an insurance account, selectively indicating a first portion of the account information that includes versioned information and a second portion of the account information that includes non-versioned information, obtaining policy information of an insurance policy associated with the insurance account, including copying at least some of the versioned information as a first portion of the insurance policy, and establishing a link between at least some of the non-versioned information and a second portion of the insurance policy. The second portion of the insurance policy that is linked with the non-versioned information is automatically updated to reflect changes to the non-versioned information.

A new variety of smooth cordgrass identified as ‘LA11-102’ is disclosed as being genetically different from ‘Vermilion’ and ‘LA11-101’ and as having rapid establishment and growth in natural brackish and saline marsh environments, and excellent seed set and germination.
Abstract:
A method for detecting malignancy-associated changes. A sample of cells is obtained and stained to identify the nuclear DNA material. The sample is imaged with a digital microscope. Objects of interest are identified in the sample of cells based on the intensity of the pixels that comprise the object versus the average intensity of all pixels in the slide image. An exact edge is located for each object and variations in the illumination intensity of the microscope are compensated for. A computer system calculates feature values for each object and, based on the value of the features, a determination is made whether the cell exhibits malignancy-associated changes or not.
