摘要： An apparatus, method and system are presented for delivering multi-media products using a self-service kiosk. The kiosk delivers the multi-media product on a DVD or electronically downloads the multi-media product via high-speed communications to a portable device. The high-speed communications allows the multi-media product to be downloaded in relatively short time period.

摘要： Systems and techniques for transferring data to a storage device. A storage device includes storage, a processor, and a wireless transceiver, as well as a connector allowing the storage device to operate according to an appropriate standard when connected to a playback or data device. The storage device can communicate with a data transfer station to wirelessly receive data from the station. A user may select data to be transferred to a removable media device, and the station transfers the data over a wireless connection. The removable media device stores the data in memory as it is received. Once the data has been received, the data can be played or otherwise used in any playback or data device to which the storage device may be connected for use as a memory device.

摘要： High speed wireless infrastructures and techniques are provided. Wireless radios are situated within an enterprise, each radio positioned at the end of the wireless frequency range for that of a neighboring radio. Each radio wireless transmits using direction steerable antennas at 60 Gigahertz. At lease one radio is interfaced to a back-end enterprise information server. Each radio capable of interfacing to a consumer's wireless device within the enterprise when that wireless device is within range of the directional steerable antennas. The wireless radios and the back-end information server combine to form a high speed wireless communication network within the enterprise.

摘要： Techniques for an electronic shelf label (ESL) system which uses a digital modulation technique for a modulated backscatter uplink from an ESL to a communication base station (CBS) which utilizes pseudo-random sequences instead of a single continuous wave frequency. The CBS transmits a message to an ESL using a Manchester coded amplitude modulated carrier. After receiving the message, the ESL responds by reflectively modulating a continuous wave (CW) signal with a pseudo-random code sequence. Multiple pseudo-random code sequences may be chosen, with each code sequence corresponding to a particular response. The code sequence is modulated onto a kHz carrier which is used to reflectively modulate the CW signal received from the CBS. The CBS then receives the reflectively modulated signal and correlates the received signal to determine message transmitted.
