摘要： A geotextile container and system for constructing a water barrier or dam is disclosed. A system for maintaining fill material solids in position to form a barrier comprises an elongated sheet of geotextile material capable of coiling upon itself to form a helical structure. Further, a means for seaming the first elongated sheet into a tubular container and filling the container with solids is presented. Fill material solids may be held in position by a tubular shaped container that forms a barrier or dam. An inner liner also may be employed in the tubular container. Cradle tubes may be deployed on either side to hold the container in position, such as when the container is struck by high energy waves.

摘要： An improved geotextile container of the type for maintaining fill material. An end portion of the container is constructed to give enhanced strength when compared with the seamed ends in prior designs. Specifically, the closed end of the container is back-folded into the inner cavity to form a pouch. At least one anchor object is positioned in the pouch and tied off by a clamping mechanism situated about a neck portion of the pouch. As a result, the pouch is closed and the anchor object is maintained on the inside thereof. Due to this construction, an axially outward force imparted by the fill material will be directed against the inner surface of the bag instead of directly against the closed end. Various embodiments of this construction may also be used to interconnect small geotextile bags such that a larger container of a desired length may be constructed.

摘要： A composite sheet material for use as a planar drain and a protection board. The sheet material has a multi-layer construction formed into a composite by needling. The multi-layer construction preferably has a layer of a soft nonwoven fabric material sandwiched between outer layers of a stiffened fabric material. The composite material may be configured into relatively narrow longitudinal strips for use as a wicking drain. Such longitudinal strips may often have a width of approximately three (3) inches or less in exemplary constructions.
