    摘要: A method for assessing mechanical properties of an elastic material includes obtaining volumetric ultrasound data sets of the elastic material in two different states of compression. First ultrasound image data of a first hypersurface region of interest (ROI) is selected from a first of the data sets, and second ultrasound image data of a second hypersurface ROI is selected from a second of the data sets. The first ultrasound image data and the second ultrasound image data are compared to determine motion within the elastic material. If out of ROI motion of the elastic material is not less than a specified or predetermined amount and if an allowed number of iterations has not been met, the orientation of at least one ROI is changed and a portion of the process is iterated. Otherwise, an indication of motion resulting from the applied compression within the elastic material is displayed.

    摘要: A method for three dimensional (3D) segmentation of an object is provided. The method obtains a volumetric data set containing object data and non-object data in proximity to the object data, the object data having a reference axis extending through the object data. The method defines at least one reference slice and multiple object slices within the volumetric data set, the reference slice and the object slices intersecting one another along the reference axis and containing the reference axis. Reference points are determined within the reference slice at edges of the object data. With reference points determined, the method generates an estimated contour extended through the reference and object slices based on the reference points, the estimated contour intersecting the object slices to define estimated contour points. The method then adjusts the estimated contour points until corresponding substantially to actual contour points of the object data.

In an embodiment, a system for compression of four dimensional data includes: a compression module configured to compress four dimensional data, wherein the data includes a first three dimensional volume and a second three dimensional volume, and wherein the compression module compresses the data by compressing the first volume and compressing a difference between the first volume and the second volume. In an embodiment, the data may further include a third three dimensional volume and the compression module may further compress the data by compressing a difference between the second volume and the third volume, for example. The system for compression of four dimensional data may also include, an input module(s), a decompression module and an output module(s), for example.

A processor detects first and second subcontours based on the first and second points, respectively; and the first and second subcontours are based on detected edges.
