The invention relates to a method for detecting defects in a textile structure (2) by taking signals from the textile structure and processing the signals taken from the textile structure based at least on preset parameters and to an apparatus (3) for detecting defects in a textile structure comprising a sensor, a processing unit and an input/output unit, whereas said processing unit is connected to said sensor and to said input/output unit and is designed for processing signals taken from the textile structure by the sensor at least based on preset parameters and producing an output signal indicating the presence of a defect in the textile structure examined. In order to solve the problem of adjusting parameters of the method and apparatus for detecting faults in a flat textile structure to the specific flat textile structure presented for detecting defects, a physical data carrier (23) for presenting preset parameters to a sensor and said sensor for reading preset parameters from the physical data carrier is provided.

The invention relates to a method and a device for monitoring a moving fabric web (1), at least a part (7) of the width of the fabric web being detected. In order to maintain the geometrical ratios between the individual elements from which the fabric web is constructed as far as possible in the image of the fabric web also, an image of the fabric web is to be produced on the one hand and on the other hand the movement of the fabric web is to be detected in the same part of the fabric web.

The invention relates to a device for measuring properties of a longitudinally moved test material in a measuring cell. In order to provide a device which is easier to adapt to the requirements of a customer and to the special conditions of a production machine for longitudinally moved test material, the measuring cell (1) is connected to a processor (6), which is associated exclusively with the measuring cell.
