Abstract:
Methods for forming a Reuleaux shape from a material involving placing the material into a container, moving the container along an orbit until the motion of the container along the orbit causes the material to assume a Reuleaux shape, and removing the Reuleaux shape from the container. Devices for transforming material into a Reuleaux shape, including a wheel, a platter mounted on the wheel, and a container mounted on the platter. Kits for forming a Reuleaux pentagon, including material having sand and silicone and a hexagonal container.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method and apparatus of designing an assembly of objects in a system of computer-aided design. The method/apparatus provides a three-dimensional geometrical modeled object comprising at least one three-dimensional geometrical element; provides a logical modeled object comprising at least one logical component; and associates sets of at least one three-dimensional geometrical element with respective sets of at least one logical component. The method/apparatus display in a three-dimensional scene, a representation of a set of at least one logical component partially superimposed on the corresponding associated set of at least one three-dimensional geometrical element.
Abstract:
The seat cushion comprises a central slab of cellular material having marginal zones, and two side members of cellular material each having a projecting edge portion with a free extremity, the projecting edge portion of each said side member covering a respective marginal zone of said central slab and said cellular material of said central slab being of greater resiliency than said cellular material of said side members.

Abstract:
A pivot mechanism comprising first and second frames linked so as to pivot, in which locking members may co-operate with teeth on one of the frames in order to lock the mechanism, and at least one stop member which is joined to the second frame and which is arranged so that the locking member abuts at an angle against said stop member if the pivot mechanism is subjected to a pivot torque in a first direction of rotation whilst the locking member is in its locked position: if this torque exceeds a threshold value, the stop member is displaced towards the over-locking member and pushes it against the teeth of the frame in order to lock it.
