    Abstract: In accordance with the invention, there is provided a reproduction method including forming a toner image on a moving primary image-forming member (PIFM) which is a first double-sleeved roller including a rigid cylindrical core member, a replaceable removable compliant inner sleeve member (ISM) in nonadhesive intimate contact with and surrounding the core member, and a replaceable removable photoconductive outer sleeve member (OSM) in nonadhesive intimate contact with and surrounding the ISM; electrostatically transferring the toner image, from the PIFM to a counter-rotating intermediate transfer member (ITM) which is a second double-sleeved roller, in a first transfer nip width produced by a pressure contact between the PIFM and the ITM, an electric field urging the toner image from the PIFM to the ITM, wherein the ITM includes a rigid cylindrical core member, a compliant ISM in nonadhesive intimate contact with and surrounding the core member, and a compliant resistive OSM in nonadhesive intimate contact with and surrounding the ISM.

    Abstract: The present invention is a method of forming a toner image on a receiving sheet. The method includes forming an electrostatic image on a primary image member and toning the image with a dry toner to form a toner image. The toner includes toner particles having a diameter of between 4 and 10 microns and transfer assisting particles appended to the toner particles surface. The transfer assisting particles have a diameter of between 20 and 100 nm. The toner image is transferred from the primary image member to an intermediate image member having an overcoat layer, the overcoat layer having a Young's modulus of from 250 to 500 MPa. The toner image is transferred from the intermediate image member to a receiving sheet wherein the intermediate image member drives the primary image member or the receiving sheet.

    Abstract: A heater roller assembly for use with a fuser apparatus includes a housing comprising a radiation shield enclosing a radiant heat source, and a heater roller that is disposed within the housing and is externally heated by the radiant heat source. The heater roller includes a core, a base cushion layer overlying the core, and an outer layer overlying the base cushion layer.
