The termination locations connect to two patch cords. The interconnect location defines an access device for selectively accessing the termination locations. An interconnect module interfaces with the interconnect location. The module can include test access, power over Ethernet, or circuit protection features.

摘要： A switching coax jack module and jack component provide for a removable DSX jack which can be slid into and out of the front of a jack module housing without disconnecting other components of the jack module and without disconnecting the module from a chassis. The jack includes a projecting post, and two rear ports. The post and rear ports cooperate with a rear interface unit including two projecting plugs, and a port for the post. The rear interface unit may include a switch activated by the post for disconnecting two of the rear connectors of the module when the jack is mounted to the module and engaged with the rear interface unit.

摘要： A telecommunications apparatus for use with a signal lamp. The apparatus includes a jack having a jack body defining an IN port, an OUT port and a MONITOR port. The ports are aligned along a vertical line with the OUT port positioned above the IN port and the MONITOR port positioned above the OUT port. A first set of spring contacts is provided for contacting a plug inserted in the IN port, a second set of spring contacts is provided for contacting a plug inserted in the OUT port, and a third set of spring contacts is provided for contacting a plug inserted in the MONITOR port. The telecommunications apparatus further includes a lamp switch for activating the signal lamp when a plug is inserted in the MONITOR port. The lamp switch is positioned below the third set of spring contacts and above the second set of spring contacts.

摘要： A switching coaxial jack includes first and second parallel aligned electrically conductive coaxial center conductors. The center conductors are divided into front and rear portions. The rear portions include movable springs to separate the rear portions from the front portions. A V-shaped switching spring connects the rear portions. Levers push the rear portions out of connection with the switching spring and into connection with the front portions upon insertion of plugs into forward ports of the jack.
