    摘要: A preserved-amplitude RTM-based FWI method is used to obtain an image of an explored subsurface formation. Model data corresponding to detected data is generated using a velocity model of the formation. Residuals representing differences between the modeled data and the detected data are back-propagated to then update the velocity model a local optimization based on a deconvolution formula employing a backward propagating wavefield and a forward propagating wavefield. Geophysical features of the formation are imaged based on the updated velocity model.

    摘要: In order to use near-field measurements to obtain signature of a signal penetrating seafloor in a shallow water surveyed area, the water-bottom reflections' effect is removed. The removal is performed by obtaining first a far-field initial estimate from stacked primary pulses in the near-field measurements, and then estimating water-bottom reflection portions for different depths using differences between the near-field measurements and the far-field initial estimate. The signature of the air-gun for each shot is then deblended from the near-field measurement for the shot using the one of the water-bottom reflection portions according to a water-bottom depth associated with the shot location.

    摘要: A method for using an offset vector tile gather to image a subsurface defines an offset vector tile gather by selecting a plurality of seismic traces from recorded seismic data. Each seismic trace in the offset vector tile includes reflections from subsurface reflectors and reflection points at depths below the surface of the subsurface. Each reflection point is in a given seismic trace, and each given seismic trace extends from a seismic source to a seismic receiver. The reflection points define an offset vector tile having a source line span and a receiver line span. The source line span is equal to or greater than a distance between adjacent seismic receiver lines, and the receiver line span is less than a distance between adjacent seismic source lines. The offset vector tile gather is used to produce a three dimensional image of the subsurface.

    摘要: Seismic data recorded on an ocean bottom node (OBN) is used to determine observed direct arrival times at the OBN from a set of seismic source shots having a time span that is only a portion of an entire span time for a shot line. The observed direct arrival times for each shot in the set of seismic source shots are compared statistically with a plurality of predicted direct arrival times for each shot in the set of seismic source shots to derive a statistical measure of differences across all shots. Each predicted direct arrival time is associated with a unique proposed position of the OBN. The unique proposed position that minimizes the statistical measure of differences between the observed direct arrival times and the predicted direct arrival times is selected for each shot in the set of shots as a corrected OBN position.
