Abstract:
A substrate for a solid state lighting module has a plurality of serrated finger sections extending from an interconnecting base. The substrate may be formed from a single rectangular sheet by cutting away material between adjacent finger sections of a symmetrical second substrate to form the finger sections of the substrate. Parallel linear rows of solid state light sources may be disposed along the length of each finger section. For example, the solid state light sources may be disposed proximate to points of sawteeth at the edges of the finger sections.
Abstract:
Circuits to provide phase-cut analog dimming of solid state light sources are presented. Each circuit comprises an anchoring circuit to communicate with a dimming controller circuit, the anchoring circuit having a proportional direct current (DC) voltage input, a biasing voltage input, a connection to a ground reference, and an output in communication with a dimming controller circuit. The anchoring circuit provides a reference voltage to permit phase cut dimming to be operable at a plurality of line voltages.
Abstract:
A current control system, and method for controlling current, and a lighting system including the same, are provided. The current control system includes front end circuitry to receive an input voltage and provide a regulated DC voltage to current source circuitry via a first input voltage terminal. Dimming interface circuitry provides a pulse width modulation signal to conversion circuitry, which uses the pulse width modulation signal to generate an analog voltage. The conversion circuitry sends the analog voltage to the current source circuitry via a second input voltage terminal. The current source circuitry uses the regulated DC voltage and the analog voltage to create an output current. The output current drives a load, which, in the lighting system, is one or more solid state light sources.
