摘要： An improved process for providing corrosion protection to ferrous metal substrates is disclosed. The improved process involves a first treating of the surface of the ferrous metal substrate with nitric acid followed by directly applying to the previously treated surface a zinc-rich coating composition. Upon curing the zinc-rich coating composition, an adherent electroconductive coating is formed. The coating provides excellent corrosion protection and since it is electroconductive, the coating is weldable and can accept a subsequent electrocoat.
