    摘要: A radial bearing having a wear surface with improved wear characteristics comprises a steel support, to which is bonded a metal carbide composite wear surface made by first arranging, within a cavity defined between a steel mold and the steel support, tiles made of microwave sintered, cemented metal carbide, closely packing the voids between the tiles with metal carbide powder, and infiltrating the mold cavity with a metal brazing alloy by subjecting the filled mold to rapid heating. The brazing alloy fills voids between the metal carbide particles, the microwave sintered metal carbide tiles, and the metal support, thereby relatively rapidly consolidating the carbide into a wear layer bonded with the steel support without substantially damaging the properties of the microwave-sintered metal carbide tiles.

    摘要: The invention relates to an enamel-like mixture containing resin and inorganic particles for applying a polymeric, corrosion-proof, wear-resistant, deformable and electrically conductive covering to a substrate. Said mixture contains at least 10 wt. % of electrically conductive particles having an electrical conductivity better than that of zinc particles and having a Moh's hardness greater than 4 with regard to the solids contents of the mixture. These electrically conductive particles have a particle size distribution in which 3 to 22 vol. % of the electrically conductive particles, measured with a Mastersizer 2000 equipped with measuring head Hydro 2000S of the company Malvern Instruments, are, in a volume representation, larger than the average layer thickness of the dried and, optionally, also hardened covering determined on recordings made using a scanning electron microscope. The invention also relates to a method for producing a corrosion-proof, viscoelastic, wear-resistant, deformable and electrically conductive covering, which contains polymers and inorganic polymers, on a substrate and to corresponding coverings applied to a substrate.

    摘要: An electric resistance welding method for welding zinc plated steel plates is disclosed. The zinc plated steel plates having at least one surface covered with a plating layer composed of mainly zinc can be welded by the present invention efficiently while overlapping said plating layers, because a material for increasing the resistance between the zinc plated steel plates is employed in the present invention, and it is either spreaded, coated or bonded on the surface of said plating layers to be joined beforehand. Thus, the electric resistance of zinc plated steel plates can be performed by a lower electric current in a shorter time without deteriorating the anti-corrosion property of zinc plated steel plates, because the electric resistance between the steel plates has been increased by such a material.

    摘要: Corrosive resistant, coated laminate consisting of metal substrate, anti-corrosive layer and paint layer, which is characterized by the fact that the anti-corrosive layer is formed by a composition containing, as essential components, at least one hexa-valent chromium containing chromium compound having a solubility of 20 to 10.sup.-5 and aqueous silica and/or aqueous resin as binder, and as optional component, a water soluble chromium compound having a solubility of more than 20, and the paint layer is free from chromium compound. The laminate is excellent, inter alia, in adhesion of coating and anti-corrosive property. The invention also provides a coated metal plate having excellent corrosion resistance and continuous spot weldability.

The isopropanol is removed and the articles are then welded together at a joint to form a unitary weldment.     摘要: An improved process for providing corrosion protection to ferrous metal substrates is disclosed. The improved process involves a first treating of the surface of the ferrous metal substrate with nitric acid followed by directly applying to the previously treated surface a zinc-rich coating composition. Upon curing the zinc-rich coating composition, an adherent electroconductive coating is formed. The coating provides excellent corrosion protection and since it is electroconductive, the coating is weldable and can accept a subsequent electrocoat.
