摘要： The present disclosure relates to zig-zag sewing machines including means for controlling the bight stops in order to produce ornamental patterns. In particular, the disclosure relates to electronically controlled sewing machines having storage means for storing stitch information and wherein logic means are used to select and release stitch information in timed relation with the operation of the sewing machine. The disclosure of the invention has particular application in those sewing situations wherein it is desired to use more than one needle in a single needle holder of the needle bar which therefore necessitates a limitation on the magnitude of the jogging or swinging of the needle bar in order to accommodate the multiple needles in the aperture of the needle plate. In accordance with the disclosure of the present invention, whenever more than one needle is used switch means responsive to the presence of more than one needle automatically puts the machine into a multiple needle mode of operation.

摘要： A tailor tack producing arrangement for a sewing machine is disclosed in which stitch patterning data stored in an electronic memory produces a recurring pattern of two closely spaced thread concatenations followed by a multiplicity of work feed increments during which the sewing machine needle bar reciprocation is interrupted. A warning means is disclosed for alerting the operator prior to needle reciprocation to facilitate accurate placement a recurring series of tailor tacks in work fabrics to facilitate accurate placement of isolated tailor tacks, the present invention combines the above with the feature of reversion to the initial stitch of the recurring pattern upon each selection of the pattern and combination with a single pattern facility which further prevents inadvertent needle reciprocation.

摘要： A sewing machine cassette threading system in which the thread handling instrumentalities of a sewing machine are arranged to accept thread from either a cassette or a conventional thread spool with a minimum of operator intervention. The sewing machine has a chamber formed therein to accept the cassette. The sewing machine thread handling instrumentalities are threaded by inserting a cassette into a cover enclosing the chamber and closing the cover. Thread from a conventional spool carried on the sewing machine arm may be placed in the cover for insertion into the thread handling instrumentalities when the cover is closed.
