    摘要： A sewing machine with a drive-selection device capable of positioning an upper thread wiper when in a non-drive position, the drive-selection device includes a moving member movably disposed on the pivot, an actuator for moving the moving member, and a pulling member for moving the actuator. The actuator is pivoted to the base and has one end provided with an actuating end, at the actuating end is provided an actuating protrusion which engages with and moves the actuating portion, another end of the actuator is formed with an engaging portion which is pushed against by the pulling member. The pulling member is pivoted to the base and has one side provided with a push portion which protrudes toward the engaging portion, and the pulling member is further provided with a fixing portion. An elastic member is disposed between the fixing portion and the actuating portion.

    摘要： Rotary hook drive device for a sewing machine includes: a rotary hook rotatably provided on a rotary hook support; a cylindrical grooved cam provided on a drive shaft drivable to rotate in one direction; a cam follower engaged in a cam groove of the cylindrical grooved cam and capable of making reciprocative movement about a support shaft in response to rotation of the cylindrical grooved cam; and a transmission mechanism that transmits the reciprocative movement of the cam follower to the rotary hook to cause the rotary hook to make reciprocative pivoting movement. Such arrangements can prevent deviation in driving timing of the rotary hook and simplify the construction of the rotary hook drive device.

Said semi-rotating looper assembly includes a rotating looper holder opening in the table surface of the machine body, a slit formed in the inner peripheral wall of said rotating looper holder, and a rotating looper disposed in said rotating looper holder and having a bobbin holding portion and an edge. Said looper assembly further includes a driving mechanism for causing a partial reciprocatory rotary motion of said rotating looper within said rotating looper holder. Said looper assembly also includes an entanglement preventing member mounted on the machine body and having an end extending through said slit into said rotating looper holder for a resilient contact with the outer peripheral wall of said rotating looper.
