摘要： A developing apparatus includes sealing members which are installed on both inside walls of a housing and closely contact the housing, a developer roller, and a blade to prevent the toner contained in the housing from leaking out. Each sealing member includes a first sealing member and a second sealing member. The first sealing member has a side part that elastically and closely contacts one inside wall of the housing and a short side part of the blade, and a front part that elastically and closely contacts the outer circumference of the developer roller. The second sealing member overlaps with the first sealing member and has a front part that elastically and closely contacts an inside surface of the blade and the outer circumference of the developer roller. Therefore, deterioration of a close contact of the sealing members due to compression and deformation of the sealing members may be prevented. Accordingly, a developing apparatus is configured to prevent leakage of toner.

摘要： A rotary force controlling apparatus and an image forming apparatus including the same are provided. The rotary force controlling apparatus includes a clutch device having a shaft, and a rotary body mounted at one end of the shaft. A housing receives and rotates together with the shaft. A power transferring member is rotatably mounted in the housing and selectively rotates the housing by a clutch inserted between the housing and the power transferring member. A positioning unit protrudes from the periphery of the housing and positions a stop location of the rotary body. A solenoid unit is spaced apart from the clutch device and is selectively turned on and off. The positioning unit includes a first positioning unit that positions an initial location of the rotary body when the solenoid unit is turned on; and a plurality of second positioning units that are separated from the first positioning unit and stop the rotary body at a predetermined location when the solenoid unit is turned off. Since the solenoid unit is turned off when the rotary body is stopped, the solenoid unit is prevented from being overheated.

摘要： A liquid electrophotographic printer employs a continuously circulating photoreceptor web having a non-image region with a potential higher than an image region. A laser scanner forms a latent electrostatic image in the image region, and a development unit develops the latent image using an ink having toner particles dispersed in a liquid carrier. The development unit includes a developer roller with a surface potential in between that of the image and non-image region for forming the toner image by attaching the toner particles to the image region; a toner removal roller with a surface potential between that of the image and non-image regions after they pass through the developer roller, for removing toner particles remaining in a liquid carrier film in the non-image region; and a squeeze roller with a surface potential higher than any of the foregoing, for squeezing the liquid carrier out of the toner image by compression.
