Abstract:
A lamination cylinder includes a surface structure, on which a plurality of craters is defined having a different geometry and a random distribution. Some of the craters are partially superimposed with respect to each other.
Abstract:
A calibration device for gauges for the measurement of the geometrical characteristics of cylinders, such as the diameter, profile, rotundity and eccentricity errors, wherein such gauges include a pair of movable opposing arms equipped with feelers or sensors at their free ends, includes a pair of abutments reciprocally approachable and/or withdrawable by means of motors until a sample measure is obtained, as desired, within the measuring range of the gauge, on which the calibration device is assembled, revealed by means of measuring means cooperating with the abutments, such that consequently the feelers or sensors are respectively abutted or approached to the abutments to reveal the sample measure.
Abstract:
Measuring apparatus (50) of geometrical parameters of cylinders, rolls and similar elements (11), used for the rolling of flat products operating on a machine for the grinding of said cylinders with an autonomous movement, i.e. with a movement independent of the translation movement of the grinding wheel or other parts, characterized in that it comprises at least four sensors (54, 55), situated on a surface orthogonal to the cylinder (11) or roll and in that at least two of said sensors are situated in opposite positions.

Abstract:
Method (100) for the classification of defects and running of the grinding of lamination cylinders comprising the following phases which consist in: a) identifying defect areas in a map illustrating a plurality of surface measurements of a cylinder; b) calculating, for each defect area identified, a plurality of typical parameters; c) identifying a type of defect associated with said defect areas identified, on the basis of said parameters calculated; d) determining (120) an acceptability threshold of the specific defect for each type of defect identified; e) defining (130) a corrective action for each defect area on the basis of the comparison between said acceptability threshold associated with the type of defect of said defect area, and a measurement of said plurality of surface measurements of the cylinder associate with said defect area; f) determining (140) grinding parameters on the basis of said surface measurements of said cylinder, if the corrective action defined in phase c) is a grinding operation to remove the defects.

Abstract:
A method for positioning operative cylinders, for example of rolling-mills or paper-mills on a grinding machine, includes at least the following steps: A—positioning the transversal, longitudinal center-line plane of the cylinder in correspondence with a reference point situated between a movable piece-holder head and tailstock center of the machine; B—moving the piece-holder head and the tailstock center in the direction of the cylinder until there is a reciprocal coupling. The present invention relates also to a machine for implementing the above method.
Abstract:
A contrast device for the grinding of products, particularly but not exclusively cylinders, held between centres, wherein a grinding machines (21) comprise a holding structure (20) equipped with a grinding wheel (24) to which a cylinder to be processed (22) is opposed, and the contrast device (23) is situated on the opposite side of the cylinder (22) with respect to the grinding wheel (24), the contrast device (23) comprising a slide (25) assembled on a short pipe (26) sliding inside a body (27) of the contrast device (23) by an interposed actuator (28, 35), there also being a blocking element (29) of the relative position of the short pipe (26) with respect to the body (27) and an irreversible blocking device (31, 32, 33) of the position of the pipe (26) with respect to the cylinder (22).
