    摘要： A two-section portable gate carries a rotatable control handle at an upper surface thereof for purposes of installation and removal of the gate in a doorway. When the handle is rotated to an extended state, the two sections of the gate can be moved relative to one another to fill the opening in the doorway. When the handle is moved to an intermediate position, the gate sections are locked together and further relative movement is not possible. When the handle is moved to a closed or locked position adjacent to an upper surface of the gate, the gate sections are forced apart a predetermined distance thereby creating normal forces, and in turn frictional forces, which lock the gate into position in the doorway and resist its removal. Spring loaded bumpers can be used on edges of the gate sections to take into account non-square openings.

    摘要： A portable, foldable bed rail adapted for use with an associated bed having a mattress thereon includes a rail member having first and second substantially identical, mirror image end rail portions and a central rail portion. The end rail portions are hingedly mounted to the central rail portion by respective rail hinge members having parallel axes of rotation. The end rail portions are foldable toward one another adjacent to the central rail portion for storage. The end rails each include a support member having a support leg. The support members are independently hingedly mounted to a respective one of the end rail portions by support hinges. The support hinges have parallel axes of rotation and are rotatable in a direction transverse to the rail hinge members. Each of the support hinge members is independently movable toward and away from its respective end rail portion. The support legs are movable between a first, folded position wherein said support legs fold inward, adjacent to the rail member, and a second, operative position wherein the support legs fold outwardly, and extend generally transverse to the rail.

    摘要： A safety latch for latching a door of an enclosure to the enclosure includes a receiving member mounted to the enclosure and a latching member engageable with the receiving member, adapted to be mounted to the enclosure door. The receiving member includes a base portion for mounting to the enclosure and a receiving post-extending from the base portion. The receiving post has first and second diverging surfaces. The latching member has first and second generally symmetrical, opposingly oriented, spaced apart, biased latching elements. The latching elements are biased toward one another, and are configured for independent locking engagement with the receiving post when the receiving post is inserted into the latching member. Each of the latching elements includes a releasing member extending therefrom and operably connected thereto for releasing the latching member from locking engagement with the receiving post.

    摘要： The present invention is directed to a pressure equalization system for use in a dive mask of the type used for scuba diving and skin diving. The dive mask generally includes a frame in which a substantially transparent window or lens is mounted. A flexible skirt is also attached to the frame and includes a nosepiece configured to fit over the nose of the diver. An equalizer system includes a pair of buttons disposed to cooperate with the sidewalls of the nosepiece. The diver can simply press the buttons towards one another to seal his or her nose when equalizing internal and external pressure.

    摘要： A bath seat usable in a tub for infants and small children includes a seat portion with a curved back support mounted thereto. The base includes at least one deformable tub gripping element for removably affixing the seat to a bath tub. The seat includes first and second spaced apart, elongated members which are attached to regions of the back support and extend therefrom. A removable tray is adapted to slidably engage the elongated members. A releasable latch, carried in part on the tray and in part on at least one of the elongated members, locks the tray to the one elongated member in one of a plurality of linearly displaced positions. The seat includes a strut extending between the base and the tray to lockingly engage and support the tray. The strut prevents a child from slipping under the tray and maintains the child in the seat during the bath.
