    摘要: A device for sealing and cutting a film in a packaging apparatus, a packaging apparatus including the device, and a process using the device are provided. The device includes first and second members, one or both of which are movable with respect to the other. One of the members includes an elongated blade, and one of the members includes a cutting means positionable in a plurality of positions. The process includes creating a first seal on a tubular film, thereby creating a semi-sealed package, creating a second seal on the semi-sealed package, thereby creating a sealed package, creating a substantially transversal cut in the tubular film, thereby separating the semi-sealed package from a subsequent portion of the tubular film, and creating an incision in a section of the first or second seal, the incision defining a pre-determined breaking zone in the tubular film of the sealed package.

    摘要: A heat-shrinkable film comprises a blend of 35-75 wt % of an ethylene-based polymer, 10-45 wt % of an ethylene/unsaturated ester copolymer, and 5-30 wt % of a plastomer, with the blend making up at least 20 wt % of the film. The ethylene-based polymer has a peak melt point ≥95° C. The plastomer has a peak melt point ≤90° C. and a melt index of ≤1.1 g/10 min. The film comprises a cross-linked polymer network which has been strained by solid state orientation. The film has a total free shrink at 85° C. of at least 90% and an energy-to-break of at least 0.70 J/mil.

    摘要: A process and apparatus (1) for packaging a product (P) arranged on a tray (4) is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a packaging assembly (8) configured for tightly fixing one or more film sheets to one or more trays. The packaging assembly includes a lower tool (22) defining a prefixed number of seats (23) for receiving the trays and an upper tool (21) facing the lower tool and cooperating with the upper tool to define a packaging chamber (24). The packaging assembly (8) is configured to operate at least in a first operating condition, where said packaging chamber (24) is open, and in a second operating condition, where said packaging chamber (24) is hermetically closed. First injection apertures (90) are positioned in corner regions of the seat and are configured to inject streams of gas in a direction substantially parallel to and above the flange (4c) of a tray (4) positioned in said seat. The process includes the step of activating injection of a plurality of streams of gas through said first apertures (90) in order to form a controlled atmosphere inside the tray before closing the tray with the film.
