摘要:
Disclosed is a system and method for measuring the position of at least one field producing element (e.g., a magnet) without a direct electrical or physical connection between the field producing element and the sensor(s). In one embodiment, the output from an array of sensors (e.g., Hall Effect sensors) is curve fit using an algorithm having a characteristic bell curve (e.g., curve fit tracking algorithm, center of gravity algorithm, etc.) to determine at least one of an absolute or relative position associated with the field producing element and/or a property associated with the field producing element (e.g., magnetic flux). Another embodiment is directed to detecting errors in one or more of the sensors and excluding the output of the faulty sensors in determining the position associated with the field producing element.

A proactive repository stores authenticated information regarding Entities and their properties. A set of conditions and policies is associated with the information in the repository. These conditions govern the release of information to an authorized recipient. Release conditions include various forms of activation, such as activation of emergency services dispatch, a change in condition of a public utility, a change in geophysical or meteorological conditions, etc. At least one responsible third party can authenticate Entities, agents agencies and the like, validate associated credentials, and store received information in the repository. A first proactive repository can be stored within a second proactive repository. A proactive repository can provide the facilities of a multi-modal notification delivery system.

A single file, such as an HTML document, is logically divided into multiple articles that can be individually recognized and ranked by search engines. The segmentation of a document into separate articles is based upon tokens that are used in document mark-up languages. In addition to the tokens which delineate articles from one another, additional tokens, or tags, are used to create a named location for each article, so that a browser can immediately display an article within a document that is relevant to a search query.
