Abstract:
A heating apparatus of an electromagnetic inductive heat generating type using magnetic flux shield means, having a coil for generating a magnetic flux, a roller member for generating heat by the magnetic flux from the coil, and heating a material to be heated, and a magnetic flux shield member for shielding the magnetic flux from the coil to the roller member to thereby vary the generated heat distribution of the roller member, wherein provision is made of guide means provided in non-contact with the roller member for guiding the movement of the magnetic flux shield member to a predetermined magnetic flux suppressing position, thereby realizing an improvement in the faulty operation of the magnetic flux shield member.
Abstract:
A spectrophotometer has a specimen cell; a light source unit for emitting light to the specimen cell; a photodetector for detecting the light that passed through the specimen cell; a light-shielding unit for blocking the light from impinging on the photodetector at predetermined periods; a memory unit for storing output strength signals detected by the photodetector; and a controller for calculating transmittance or absorbance based on output strength signal S of the incidence duration and output strength signal DS of the light-blocked duration stored in the memory unit. The incidence duration and light-blocked duration occur in this sequence in a single period. The controller calculates the true output strength signal sN of the Nth period removed of the effects of output strength signal SN−1 of the incidence duration of the (N−1)th period that are included in the output strength signal SN of the incidence duration of the Nth period.
Abstract:
A lamp drive device L is provided that can both light a lamp 1 and sustain a discharge by applying a trigger voltage while a direct current voltage is supplied from a power supply circuit 7a to the electrodes of lamp 1 before the start of discharge. The device includes a reference amount-of-change storage unit 21 for storing a threshold value T for the amount of change in the electrode voltage before and after start of discharge, a difference calculation unit 11 for calculating the difference (A−B) between the voltage monitor value B after the start of discharge and the voltage monitor value A before the start of discharge, and a lighting status determination unit 12 for determining the lighting status by comparing the difference (A−B) and the threshold value T and making the determination based on the change in voltage before and after the discharge.
Abstract:
The invention is to provide a miniaturized sheet processing apparatus in that a conveying length a conveying distance need not be increased even though the number of sheets per bundle increases. A glue applying bookbinder that partially glues sheets and performs a pressing process to form a sheet bundle. The glue applying bookbinder includes a processing tray that stacks sheets, a glue applying portion that applies a glue on the sheets on the processing tray, and pressing portions that press the sheets on the processing tray. The glue applying portion is arranged such that the glue applying portion can be moved from a first standby position outside the sheets stacked on the stacking portion to a second standby position, different from the first standby position, outside the sheets through an upper surface of the sheets, and the pressing portions are moved integrally with the glue applying portion.

An image heating apparatus of electromagnetic induction heating-type capable of providing a proper relative heat-generation distance with a magnetic flux generation member even when the magnetic flux generation member is bent by its own weight or thermally deformed includes at least an exciting coil, a holder for holding the exciting coil, and a rotatable fixation roller for generating heat by magnetic flux from the exciting coil to heat a material to be heated. The holder has an outer diameter φd1 at a central portion and an outer diameter φd2 at an end portion in a longitudinal direction of the holder perpendicular to a conveyance direction of the material to be heated. The outer diameters φd1 and φd2 satisfies: φd1

Abstract:
Provided is a bookbinding apparatus including: a conveying unit which sequentially conveys sheets; a gluing unit which glues the sheets conveyed by the conveying unit; a stacking unit which sequentially stacks the sheets glued by the gluing unit; a pressurizing unit which pressurizes glued portions of the sheets stacked on the stacking unit; and a control unit which temporarily stops a stacking process carried out by the conveying unit onto the stacking unit and causes the pressurizing unit to execute a pressurizing process on the sheets stacked on the stacking unit when an operation interrupting event occurs during the stacking process.
