摘要： The invention is to provide a miniaturized sheet processing apparatus in that a conveying length a conveying distance need not be increased even though the number of sheets per bundle increases. A glue applying bookbinder that partially glues sheets and performs a pressing process to form a sheet bundle. The glue applying bookbinder includes a processing tray that stacks sheets, a glue applying portion that applies a glue on the sheets on the processing tray, and pressing portions that press the sheets on the processing tray. The glue applying portion is arranged such that the glue applying portion can be moved from a first standby position outside the sheets stacked on the stacking portion to a second standby position, different from the first standby position, outside the sheets through an upper surface of the sheets, and the pressing portions are moved integrally with the glue applying portion.

摘要： An image reading apparatus has an original placing portion on which an original is placed, a feed portion for feeding the original placed on the original placing portion to convey the original from one end side of an original plate onto the original plate, a conveying rotary member for conveying the original on the original plate, a reversing and conveying portion for reversing the front side and back side of the original conveyed to the other end side of the original plate by the conveying rotary member, and conveying the reversed original from the other end side onto the original plate, an image reading unit for reading the image of the original stopped on the original plate while being moved, and a control portion for controlling the driving of the conveying rotary member. The control portion controls the conveying rotary member so as to stop the original conveyed from the one end side by the feed portion at a first reading position on the original plate, and stop the original conveyed from the other end side by the reversing and conveying portion at a second reading position on the original plate differing from the first reading position.

摘要： An automatic winding screen device has a coil spring fixed to a bracket at one end of a winding box, the other end of the coil spring being fixed to a winding shaft, and a damper for alleviating impact and collision noise. Between the damper on a shaft fixed to the winding box and the winding shaft, a one-way clutch mechanism is interposed such that, when the winding shaft is rotated in a screen deploying direction, the connection between the damper and the winding shaft is cancelled while when the winding shaft rotates in a screen winding direction the damper is connected to the winding shaft.

摘要： An image reading apparatus and an image expansion and contraction correcting method are provided that improve the quality of each read image by restraining image expansion and contraction caused by a variation in the combination of conveying units for conveying each document. The image reading apparatus has conveying units (a first conveying unit, a second conveying unit, and a third conveying unit) that convey each document, and an image reading unit (a first image reading unit and a second image reading unit) that reads an image of each document being conveyed by the conveying units. The image reading speed of the image reading unit is adjusted in accordance with a change in the combination of conveying units that are conveying a document, so as to correct image expansion and contraction caused by a change in document conveying speed caused by the change in the combination of conveying units.
