摘要: Disclosed herein is a system and method for saving crops by preventing premature bud formation on various agriculturally-valuable flora. The method consists in maintaining the temperature of an effective amount of the roots of a plant below that temperature at which bud formation normally ensues. The system and method is especially well suited for unusual warm spells which occur during seasonal changes and for staggering crop portions in order to effectively manage the harvest.

摘要: A radio communication system operable to efficiently generate a frequency hopping sequence for radio communication and/or accurately provide system synchronization using a cyclic code. The radio communication system may employ a frequency hopping method that generally comprises acquiring a seed value, identifying a channel number matrix position utilizing at least a portion of the seed value, identifying a radio channel corresponding to the matrix position, and transmitting or receiving a signal at a frequency corresponding to the identified radio channel.

The tool comprising a nuclear source for irradiating the formation and a detector for obtaining a sigma measurement of the irradiated formation. The tool is mounted close to a drill bit arranged to drill a borehole into the formation and is capable of determining a base log sigma measurement of the formation while drilling into the formation.

摘要: The present invention is an improved reservoir cap for a braking fluid reservoir including a cylindrical skirt for surrounding an opening of the reservoir body, a disc portion having a hard stop formed unitarily with the cylindrical skirt for closing the reservoir fill opening, and a plurality of teeth formed unitarily about the hard stop for securing an elastic member. The elastic member is disposed about the teeth of the reservoir cap and secured thereto. The elastic member defines ridges disposed circumferentially about its center. Between the ridges and the center of the elastic member is a channel, which in turn defines a pair of openings which permit the flow of excess fluid through the elastic member, thereby reducing the possibility of fluid overflow, and thus preventing excess brake fluid from permeating the reservoir cap and leaking into the engine compartment of a vehicle.
