Abstract:
An exterior rear view mirror for a vehicle has a housing pivotally mounted on a base for angular movement about a first pivot axis and an electric motor for causing such movement. A controller operates the motor at either of two different speeds. The controller includes a counter for counting the number of revolutions of the output shaft of the motor so as to determining the angle through which the housing has been moved, thus enabling the housing to be restored to its original position by causing the motor to perform the same number of revolutions in the opposite direction.
Abstract:
A retractable mirror assembly for a vehicle which retracts towards and extends away from a vehicle body wherein the mirror compensates for the change in position so that the same perspective is maintained. The mirror assembly comprises the vehicle body in which a mirror housing that surrounds a mirror backing plate having a mirror glass is retracted and expanded to and from the vehicle body. A second support bracket and a stationary bracket are connected and move in relation to one another in order to rotate the mirror backing plate and mirror so that the mirror maintains the same perspective while the mirror assembly is being retracted and expanded to and from the vehicle body.
Abstract:
A heated mirror is provided. The mirror includes a plastic or glass substrate. A contact surface is provided for receiving a resistive heating layer. A plurality of spaced electrodes are electrically coupled to the resistive heating layer for inducing a current in the resistive heating layer to heat the mirror assembly. The substrate is polished in the direction of current flow through the resistive layer. The assembly may also include a separate reflective layer.
Abstract:
A side view mirror including a multiplexor chip, NTC thermistor within the housing. The multiplexor controls multiple functionality from the housing and provides simplified LIN bus connection to the vehicle.
Abstract:
A device for positioning a human body in a seat, wheelchair or other support is provided. The device enables a user to modify and adjust various components to position the seat to aid the posture of the user, by taking various measurements via sensors and controlling the position of the components to achieve an optimum configuration of the components to support the user. A computer can automatically make the adjustments and can monitor multiple seats. The seats can be truck, car or airplane seats.
Abstract:
A method and device for positioning a human body in a wheelchair or other support is provided. The method and device enables a user to modify and adjust various components to orient the seat to aid the posture of the user, by taking various measurements via sensors and controlling the position of the components to achieve an optimum configuration of the components to support the user.
Abstract:
THE INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS AND AN INSTALLATION FOR THE CANNING OF FOODSTUFFS CONSISTING OF ADMITTING INTO A CONTAINER THE PRODUCT TO BE CANNED AND A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF A COMPLEMENTARY PRODUCT HAVING THE SAME DEGREE OF QUALITY AS THAT PRECENT IN THE PRODUCT TO BE CANNED, THIS ADMISSION BEING EFFECT IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE AMOUNT OF THE PRODUCT TO BE CANNED AND OF THE COMPLEMENTARY PRODUCT IS CONSTANT; THE INVENTION ALSO CONSISTS OF ADMITTING INTO THE CONTAINER A CONSTANT AMOUNT OF A COMPENSATORY PRODUCT WHOSE QUALITY IS OF A DEGREE SUCH THAT IT PRODUCES THE REQUIRED DEGREE OF QUALITY IN THE GOODS CANNED.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides methods and uses of Tie2 binding and/or activating agents. In particular, the present disclosure provides methods and uses for inhibiting the expansion of colony forming unit-granulocytes, reducing eosinophils and/or basophils, for treating allergic disease or response or eosinophil/basophil associated condition and for reducing inflammatory cytokine and/or chemokine levels.
Abstract:
The invention provides a mold comprising an annular cavity to mold a tire. The mold includes one or more sidewall plates, wherein at least one of said sidewall plates has a recessed channel having an inlet and an outlet, said sidewall plate having an inner surface in engagement with an annular surface of a container plate, wherein the recessed channel and the annular surface of the container plate form a fluid manifold, for circulating a fluid manifold for circulating a fluid medium. Alternatively, the channel may be located inside the sidewall plate.
