    摘要: Automatically selecting time traces from a fluorescence experiment, in one aspect, may include capturing results of the fluorescence experiment in a moving image; localizing sources of fluorescence in the moving image; producing time traces of each fluorescent source by monitoring fluorescence intensity of said localized sources in the moving image over time; removing unuseful time traces from said produced time traces; and selecting useful time traces from said produced time traces based on one or more defined criteria. FRET traces from selected time traces may be further calculated and analyzed. A unified computer-implemented platform in one aspect may include tools to locate single molecules, extract traces, classify smFRET traces according to adjustable parameters, and quantify the kinetic parameters of FRET transitions using analytical procedures such as Hidden Markov Modeling (HMM) procedures.

    摘要: The invention is a bolt-type seal lock for use with shipping containers or similar kinds of applications where seal locks are needed. The seal includes a bolt and a separate locking body. The locking body holds a locking mechanism that engages with an end of the bolt when it is inserted into the locking body. The locking body houses a flash memory or equivalent electronic storage device that stores shipping or transportation data relating to the contents of the shipping container. The seal also has a locking mechanism that can be released by a special tool through a lateral access opening. The lateral opening is covered by an identification tab that serves as an identification mechanism for indicating seal tampering and as a barrier to access to the locking mechanism. The identification tab is replaceable which makes the seal recyclable and reusable by shipping companies having a need for large numbers of bolt-type seal locks.

    摘要: This invention provides a mechanical lower extremity manipulation device to increase venous blood flow in lower extremities for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), lower extremity edema, and other associated or related conditions. Foot plates pivoting on a base plate can be powered to provide a reciprocating action to the feet of a reclining patient. Straps can hold the patient's legs against the base plate so that the reciprocating action results in alternate planar flexion and dorsal flexion of the foot without movement of the leg in general. The resulting elongation and retraction of lower leg muscles can improve venous blood flow to reduce the risk of pathologies, such as DVT.
