摘要： A method, system and apparatus is provided for dispensing drugs quickly, conveniently, securely, and accurately and at relatively less cost than traditional pharmacy-based dispensing systems. A script for a drug prescribed to a user is generated comprising a human readable description of the drug and the user or a machine readable description of the drug and the user. The script is provided to a robotic prescription dispensary operable to recognize either the human readable description or the machine readable description, and validate and dispense the drug accordingly. The robotic prescription dispensary includes a user interface, a tele conferencing or video conferencing means enabling communication between the user and a human validation agent, and a scanning means for capturing an image of the script. A method for managing inventory and distribution of drugs is also provided.

摘要： A system, method and apparatus for validation of medication for consumption by a patient. A patient unit, which is one node on a communication network, is operated to present medication elements stored at the patient unit in an order corresponding to the order of a prescribed course of treatment for the patient. Indicia on the medication elements are inspected to derive characterizing data such as nature of drug and scheduled time of consumption. The derived data is compared to stored data corresponding to a next scheduled medication element. If there is a match, the patient is informed that validated medication is ready to be consumed. The patient then arranges for the medication to be delivered from the patient unit and for a notification to be sent to a compliance agent at a remote network node.

摘要： Disclosed are techniques for targeted health care messaging for patients and health care providers. In response to a health care event, such as the generation of a prescription or treatment of a patient, information regarding the health care event is obtained by a messaging server. The messaging server uses this information, or a filtered representation thereof, to select one or more health care messages based on selection criteria associated with the selected messages. The messaging server then provides the selected messages to one or more user devices for presentation to one or more participants in the health care event. In many instances, ethical, legal, and regulatory mandates prohibit disclosure of identifying information for a patient or health care professional participating in the health care event to unauthorized third parties, such as the providers or sources of the message content of the selected messages. As such, the information used to select the targeted messages is obtained or used in a manner that prevents identification of participants in the health care event by unauthorized entities. These targeted health care messaging techniques provide an effective and low-cost mechanism for disseminating health care information to the appropriate audience.

The method may include linking a plurality of computer terminals to a computer network, each computer terminal associated with an individual; receiving a digital image at at least one of the computer terminals; executing a face recognition routine on the digital image, the face recognition routine detecting at least one face in the digital image, each detected face corresponding to a person, the face recognition routine recognizing at least one of the persons as being one of the individuals; and for each individual recognized in the digital image by the face recognition routine, initiating dissemination of the digital image to the computer terminal associated with respective individual whose face is recognized in the digital image.

摘要： A system, method and apparatus for use in improving patient compliance with prescribed medication. The apparatus is configurable as a node on a communication network and has a storage unit for storing medication elements for a prescribed course of treatment. A delivery unit delivers the medication elements in a scheduled order corresponding to the course of treatment. A notification unit notifies a patient at the medication delivery apparatus that a next scheduled one of the medication elements should be consumed. A compliance unit issues to the network an indication that the next scheduled one of the medication elements has been consumed by the patient. If no notification is received by the compliance agent, remedial action is taken.

摘要： A method, system and computer program is provided for protecting against one or more security attacks from third parties directed at obtaining user credentials on an unauthorized basis, as between a client computer associated with a user and a server computer is provided. The server computer defines a trusted Public Key Cryptography utility for use on the client computer. The Public Key Cryptography utility is operable to perform one or more cryptographic operations consisting of encrypting/decrypting data, authenticating data, and/or authenticating a sender, decrypting and/or verifying data. The user authenticates to the Public Key Cryptography utility, thereby invoking the accessing of user credentials associated with the user, as defined by the server computer. The Public Key Cryptography Utility facilitates the communication of the user credentials to the server computer, whether directly or indirectly via an authentication agent, the server computer thereby authenticating the user. In response, the server computer providing access to one or more system resources linked to the server computer to the user. The present invention also provides a series of methods enabling the server computer to authenticate the user by operation of the Public Key Cryptography utility and/or based on enrolment of the user and providing the Public Key Cryptography utility to the user.
