The visor female connector has a plurality of spaced female conductive terminals, each female terminal having an open port configured to engage a male conductive terminal. The female connector has a second insulating body disposed about the female terminals. The second insulating body has an open receiving end cooperable with the male connector.

摘要： A method for creating a concave section of glass from a glass substrate having flat surfaces includes the use of a grinding wheel and a turntable. The method includes the steps of securing the glass substrates to the turntable. The turntable is then spun to create a turntable axis of rotation. The grinding wheel is rotated about a wheel axis of rotation such that the wheel axis of rotation is perpendicular to the turntable axis of rotation. The grinding wheel and the turntable move relative to each other along the turntable axis of rotation. The glass substrate is ground by the grinding wheel contacting the glass substrate to create the concave section of glass while the glass substrate is rotating about the wheel axis of rotation and moving relative to the turntable.

摘要： An exterior rearview mirror assembly for a motor vehicle is disclosed having a bracket which is fixedly secured to the motor vehicle. A mirror casing is secured to the bracket. The mirror casing defines a primary opening. A primary mirror is disposed within the primary opening and provides a view rearward of the motor vehicle through a primary field of view. A spotting mirror is disposed adjacent the primary mirror. The spotting mirror is defined by a single radius of curvature differing from the primary mirror such that the spotting mirror provides a secondary field of view rearward of the motor vehicle.

摘要： A spring clip assembly and method are provided for supporting a visor body relative to a visor arm. Initially, a visor arm having a substantially cylindrical outer surface and a recessed detent portion is provided. A visor body is also provided and has a spring clip assembly attached thereto. The spring clip assembly includes a housing, a spring disposed within the housing, and a bushing attached to the spring for sliding engagement with the visor arm. The visor body is then rotated about the visor arm between a first position wherein the roller contacts the detent portion of the visor arm, and a second position wherein the bushing contacts the cylindrical surface of the visor arm. The spring maintains the bushing in sliding engagement with the visor arm and biases the bushing toward the visor arm so as to provide a clamping force when in the first and second positions.

摘要： A mount assembly and method are provided for securing a visor to a vehicle mounting surface. Initially, a vehicle mounting surface having an aperture formed therein is provided. A bracket assembly including a bracket having a first aperture, a latch slidably mounted to the bracket, and an arm disposed within the first aperture of the bracket are also provided. The arm is then rotated to a first position wherein the latch is caused to move to an inwardly retracted position. The bracket assembly is then placed adjacent the mounting surface such that a portion of the bracket and the latch are inserted into the aperture in the mounting surface. The arm is then rotated to a second position wherein the latch is caused to move to an outwardly extended position, the bracket thereby being locked relative to the mounting surface.

摘要： A visor assembly includes a visor body, a support arm and an anti-backlash device for selectively applying a clamping force on the support arm. The anti-backlash device includes first and second bushings, each having an end surface misalignable and engageable with each other, and an inner surface portion slidably engageable with the support arm. When the inner surface portions are aligned with each other, the end surfaces are misaligned. The anti-backlash device further includes a spring means biasing the end surfaces together for urging the end surfaces to align, thereby causing the inner surface portions to misalign and to apply the clamping force on the support arm. Sufficient rotational movement of one of the bushings, against the bias of the spring means, sufficiently realigns the inner surface portions to sufficiently release the clamping force such that the visor body may slide along the support arm.

摘要： A support pin for insertion into a material-covered notch in a sun visor. The support pin includes a frame, a retainer pin, a pair of wings, and a pair of spaced keels. The frame has a first surface configured to conform to the notch and a second surface having an appearance finish. The retainer pin extends from one portion of the second surface to another portion of the second surface. The wings extend outwardly from the first surface of the frame and are adapted to sufficiently engage the notch when the support pin is inserted into the notch to hold the material and the pin of the notch. The pair of spaced keels extend from the first surface of the frame and define a groove therebetween. The groove is adapted to straddle and sufficiently receive one portion of the material of the material-covered notch to lessen the stretch of the one portion of the material in the groove as the support pin is inserted into the notch. The keels are configured to stretch uniformly other portions of the material outside the groove locally and independently anywhere along the first surface of the frame as the support pin is inserted into the notch. Alternatively, a nub may be affixed to each of the keels outward of the groove to engage the sun visor when the support pin is inserted into the notch.

摘要： A hollow visor is provided which is adapted to receive a mirror and define a track having a pair of split pulley portions forming a pathway. A plurality of doors are provided which are located within the visor and which are movable within the track for selectively moving between an extended position which covers the mirror and a retracted position which uncovers the mirror. A continuous flexible tape extends around the pathway and around the mirror but in concealably spaced relationship with the track so that the flexible tape and the track are concealed from the user's view during operation of the doors. The tape attaches respectively to each of the two mirror doors at locations 180.degree. apart. The tape extends around the pathway and the split pulley portions on opposite sides of the mirror while interconnecting the two doors such that when one door is moved in one direction, the other door moves synchronously in the opposite direction and through the same distance.
