摘要： A pel timing clock compensates for the non-linear displacement profile of a resonant galvanometerscanner. A pel time counter is loaded with a count value and outputs a clock pulse after expiration of a delay serial determined by the count value. Each time the clock pulse is produced the pel time counter is reloaded. The various count values are accessed from a memory which is addressed by an address counter whose contents are also altered each time the clock pulse is produced. The memory stores a sequence of count values which, when used to load the pel time counter, produces the desired sequence of clock pulses to compensate for the non-linear displacement profile of the scanner.

摘要： In a Laser Bevel Meter for measuring the angle of a bevel on a ski edge a laser beam reflects from a mirror mounted on a magnet. The mirror-magnet assembly is coupled to the ski edge and the reflected beam is coupled through a mirror tunnel to a calibrated diffuse readout screen. And according to the invention an accurate, quickly obtained measurement of the bevel angle is obtained along the length of the ski.

摘要： Erase apparatus for use in an electrophotographic copier machine where an array of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is placed adjacent a plano-convex-cylindrical entrance end of an optical element such that light rays from the LED array are directed through the optical element to its exit end. At the convex-cylindrical exit end, the light rays are directed to the photoconductive surface of the machine. The optical element directs the more intense light rays emitted from the LEDs near the central axis to the edges of the erasure footprint while the less intense rays emitted from the LEDs at larger angles from the central axis are redistributed to the central portion of the erasure footprint.

摘要： A compact optical scanner includes a base unit and a scan unit. The base unit includes an optical source such as a laser and an optical path directing a beam emitted by the laser to a scan mirror which is located in and supported by the scan unit. As the scan mirror rotates, the optical beam is reflected back to the base unit from which it is emitted as a beam scanning to and fro in a scan plane. The scan unit is supported by reference to the base unit such that the oscillation axis of the scan mirror is substantially and preferably parallel to the scan plane.

摘要： An optical apparatus and method for multiplexing (that is splitting) an optical ray or rays emanating from a line object disposed at the platen of a scanner. The procedure enables multiple images of a line object to be formed at the image plane. The apparatus includes a plurality of fixed and movable mirrors disposed to fold the rays along separate optical axis through a common lens onto a plurality of linear photosensitive arrays. The arrays are disposed at the image plane of the scanner. The arrays are configured with the centers of each array being disposed symmetrical with respect to the principal axis of the lens. In one embodiment a plurality of optical filters are disposed so that each filter intercepts one of the optical axis exiting from the lens. The rays which are associated with each axis pass through the filters onto the linear photosensitive arrays. The configuration is ideally suited for use in a single pass color scanner.
