摘要: A patient turning sheet includes a flexible rectangular bottom sheet that has a surface area sized to support the majority of the body of a person lying on the patient turning sheet. A flexible rectangular top sheet is sewn to the bottom sheet and has a surface area less than the surface area of the bottom sheet. The top sheet is sewn to the bottom sheet, offset toward the head end of the turning sheet to be positioned at the area of maximum contact and load of the patient on the turning sheet. A foam pad is disposed between the bottom sheet and the top sheet that is relatively less flexible than the bottom or top sheets.

摘要: An air delivery system that includes an inflatable cushion device adapted to support at least a portion of a body of a user. The air delivery device includes a supply conduit in fluid communication with both an interior region of the inflatable cushion device and a controller. Using a pressure sensor, the controller is adapted to relatively continuously measure a static air pressure level of the interior region and compare the measured static air pressure level to a target air pressure level. Further, the controller is adapted to intermittently operate an air pump. Moreover, the controller may operate the air pump when measured static air pressure is below the target static air pressure level, and deactivate operation of the air pump, which may include maintaining the air pump in an un-operated condition when the measured static air pressure is within the target static air pressure level.

摘要: A therapeutic cushioning boot includes a foot portion configured to receive a foot of a user, and a leg portion configured to receive a leg of the user. The leg portion includes at least a first support chamber and a second support chamber. A first fiberfill material is provided in the first support chamber at a first concentration, and a second fiberfill material provided in the second support chamber at a second concentration that is less than the first concentration.

摘要: A gas-filled patient positioner for positioning a body part of a patient comprises a plurality of bladder structures mounted on top of and overlapping each other. Each bladder structure includes a pair of adjacent elongated gas-filled bladders with the inboard side of each of the bladders facing or abutting each other. At least one bleed channel extends transversely between and in communication with the adjacent pair of bladders. The plurality of bladder structures is tightly encased within an elongated outer covering that includes an array of seams that define channels in top and bottom surfaces of the covering to provide pathways for heat and moisture to escape. The array of seams includes a single seam extending along the length of the bladder structures and arranged over the bleed channel, and a plurality of transverse seams extending across a width of the top and bottom surfaces of the outer covering.

摘要: A pediatric air mattress adapted for therapeutic usage, including a first air bladder and a second air bladder each respectively including at least one plastic liner defining an outer edge about which the liners are sealed to define a first air chamber within the first air bladder and a second air chamber within the second air bladder. The mattress includes first and second two-way valves through which air is selectively imported to and exported from the first air chamber and the second air chamber, respectively. The first and second air bladders respectively define a first plurality and a second plurality of apertures therethrough. The second air bladder is attached to and superposes the first air bladder such that the second air bladder is supported by the first air bladder.
