摘要： A portable gas dynamic cold spray gun eliminates many of the inherent limitations of the prior art by minimizing a scatter of operating parameters and improving its efficiency. According to one feature of the present invention, the powder flow rate is continuously measured so that the powder flow rate and/or the flow rate of the pressurized gas can be adjusted accordingly in order to control the deposition efficiency of the spray gun.

摘要： The wetted surface of a pressure vessel, a structural internal or a weld is repaired by removing the contacting radioactive fluid, forming a powder mixture of metallic particles and ceramic particles and then spraying the powder mixture on the formerly wetted surface to form a protective cold sprayed coating thereon. As-deposited coatings having a surface smoothness of 125 RMS or better may be nondestructively examined by ultrasonic, eddy current or dye penetrant tests without a preliminary grinding step.

摘要： The invention is directed to an x-ray device and method for radiation treatment comprising an x-ray source 1, a collimator 4 incorporating conditional optics, such as a capillary lens 3 for directing and focusing the x-ray radiation, and implantable needles. One or more capillary semilenses 16, 17 are positioned along the optical axis of the x-ray beam allow to form a movable focus by changing the distance between the semilenses. The input end of the collimator 4 is optically and mechanically conjugated with the x-ray source 1. The output end of the collimator is optically and mechanically conjugated with an originating end of the needle 5. At its output end is a transparent window 6 on which can repose a layer 13 that substantially absorbs and re-emits radiation which passes through the window 6.

摘要： A nozzle extension for use with a nozzle of a particulate spray machine features a first substantially linear section terminating in a curvilinearly angled output section having a passageway with a diameter larger than a passageway in the linear section. The larger volume of the output section induces peripheral turbulence in the particulate flow to minimize clogging of the output passageway.
