摘要: One embodiment sets forth a method for modifying video content stored on a hand-held digital video camera (DVC). The method includes transmitting video data to a computer system to which the hand-held DVC is coupled via a data connector, receiving a request for a set of instructions related to a processing operation being performed on the computer system and involving the video data, transmitting the set of instructions to the computer system via the data connector. The method also includes drawing power from the computer system via the data connector and charging at least in part a battery associated with the hand-held DVC with the power drawn from the computer system, where the hand-held DVC remains coupled to the computer system via the data connector for the steps of transmitting, receiving, drawing and charging.

摘要: A method and apparatus for use with an electronic display system including a display surface wherein the system is capable of identifying a touch location on at least a portion of the display surface of a contact with the display surface, the display surface having a display area, the method for moving a cursor icon about at least a portion of the display area and comprising the steps of identifying first and second areas within the display area having first and second area surfaces, respectively, sensing a touch location on the first area surface and presenting a cursor icon on the second area surface as a function of the touch location on the first area surface.

摘要: A touch sensor on a device is configured to accept user input in the form of touches. Control areas on the touch sensor may be designated to correspond to keys on a keyboard or other commands. These control areas may be arranged on either side of the touch sensor to allow the user to activate control areas with their thumbs while holding the device. Size and spacing of the keys may vary dynamically in response to environmental conditions, user interactions, and so forth. Thus, the area of a control on the touch sensor may be larger when operated in a high vibration or motion environment, such as on a train, walking, and so forth. Additionally or alternatively, the position of control areas may dynamically change to adjust to the user.
