    摘要: The present invention relates in certain embodiments to medical devices, systems and methods for use in osteoplasty procedures, such as vertebral compression fractures. One device for delivering a bone fill material to a bone, such as a vertebra, includes an elongated introducer having a working end at a distal end of the introducer, the working end positionable within the bone and having at least one outlet opening configured to allow a bone fill material flow therethrough. An insulative coating is disposed on an external surface of the introducer, the coating being lubricious and configured to inhibit scratching of said external surface. One system for delivering a bone fill material to a bone includes such a device, a thermal energy emitter operably coupled to the introducer to apply energy to the bone fill material flowing through a channel of the introducer, and a controller in communication with the thermal energy emitter to control the operation of the thermal energy emitter.

    摘要: A bone cement injector used for treating vertebral compression fractures has diamond-like coatings or amorphous carbon based coatings with a high hardness and a low coefficient of friction on an interior flow channel thereof. Such a bone cement injector includes a sensor system for sensing retrograde bone cement flows that can migrate along a fractured path toward a pedicle and risk leakage into the spinal canal. An energy delivery system can be coupled to the injector for applying energy to tissue and/or to bone cement that migrates in a retrograde direction, wherein the energy polymerizes the cement and/or coagulates tissue to inhibit further retrograde cement migration.

    摘要: A tissue separator assembly has an elongate tubular member and a tissue separator device located at a distal end of the elongate tubular member. An elongate coupler extends through the lumen of the elongate tubular member and has a distal coupler end. A tissue localization assembly has an elongate member and a localization device located at the distal end of the elongate member. The localization device may be movable from a first, radially-contracted state to a second, radially-expandable state. The distal coupler end of the elongate coupler and the proximal end of the elongate tubular member of the localization assembly are joinable to one another to permit docking of the tissue localization assembly to the tissue separator assembly. Methods of use of this device are also described.
