One embodiment includes a photoelectric unit, a vacuum sensor, and a strobe signal for timing and detecting the presence of both signals to shut down the machine if either signal is abnormal. Another embodiment includes a second strobe signal for use as a back-up for the first strobe, or in lieu thereof, for timing and detecting the photoelectric signal only.

    摘要: A method for inspecting a wheel assembly having a molded plastic cladding adhered to a metal wheel includes selecting an adhesive that will generate heat upon curing. The adhesive is placed between the cladding and the wheel and exhibits an exothermic heat generating reaction during curing. The cladding is inspected with a thermal imaging device to measure the exothermic heat generating reaction of the adhesive. The data collected by the thermal imaging device is analyzed to determine the quality of the adhesion between the cladding and the wheel, the wheel is accepted or rejected based upon the analysis of the collected data.

    摘要: A carton squaring mechanism in a carrier for effectuating and maintaining a four-sided side-seamed open-topped carton in a squared configuration. The carrier includes a plurality of compartments, wherein adjacent compartments are separated by a pair of spaced-apart, laterally oriented, parallel fixed guides, a first off-center guide secured to one side of the carrier so as to be positioned closely adjacent to one of one pair of parallel guides and perpendicular to the planes of the latter. Each of the fixed guides has downwardly converging lower edges formed thereon for piloting the carton into the compartment. Each carton is first squared by engagement with oppositely disposed side rails, and then maintained square by the above referenced guides.
