摘要: The invention relates to a foam element with a hydrophilic substance incorporated in the foam in the form of cellulose of the structure type based on the crystal modification of cellulose-II, and the foam element incorporating the cellulose has a reversible capacity to absorb moisture. A proportion of the cellulose is between 0.1% by weight and 10% by weight. A value of the foam moisture corresponding to an equilibrium moisture in a first ambient atmosphere is increased during use in a second ambient atmosphere. The moisture absorbed by the cellulose II after use evaporates again within a period of between 1 hour and 16 hours until the initial value of the foam moisture corresponding to the equilibrium moisture by reference to the ambient first atmosphere is restored.

The foam without the hydrophilic substance has an absorption capacity of more than 2.8% by weight at an equilibrium moisture corresponding to a temperature of 23° C.
