摘要： During a process of closing of a shutter of a disk device, a position of the shutter is detected. A first shutter position indicator indicative of a first position of the shutter and a second shutter position indicator indicative of a second position, which is immediately before the first position, are calculated. Whether a disk is pinched by the shutter is determined based on comparison of a predetermined threshold and the difference between the first shutter position indicator and the second shutter position indicator.

摘要： An apparatus for reproducing an optical recording medium includes a system controller. If a digital audio signal is present in a shockproof memory, the system controller sets a first search target address so as to be connected to an absolute time address of a digital audio signal which is last accumulated in the shockproof memory. If there is no digital audio signal in the shockproof memory, the system controller calculates a second search target address based on the absolute time address of the digital audio signal which is last accumulated in the shockproof memory and an elapsed time since no digital audio signal remains in the shockproof memory, and moves the optical pickup to a position on the disk indicated by the second search target address calculated.

摘要： An output of an optical sensor in the initial state, that is, when a disc is absent, is set as a reference value. A threshold for detecting the disc is calculated by adding a predetermined variation to the reference value. When the output of the optical sensor exceeds the threshold, it is determined that the disc is present.

The medium detecting device includes an optical sensor irradiates a light towards a position where the medium is possibly set, collects a reflected light, and outputs a signal based on the reflected light. A temperature sensor measures temperature around the optical sensor. A threshold selecting unit selects a threshold from among a plurality of thresholds based on the parameter. A determining unit determines whether the medium is set based on comparison of the signal and the threshold selected.

摘要： An apparatus for reproducing an optical recording medium includes a system controller. The system controller causes a reproduction processor to first execute an initial setup process of reading out audio data from a disk and then to execute a reproduction process. When digital audio data is accumulated in a shockproof memory, the system controller causes the reproduction processor to suspend reading of the audio data from the disk and execute an automatic adjustment process. After the automatic adjustment process is finished, the reproduction processor resumes the reading of the audio data from the disk using adjustment values acquired through the automatic adjustment process executed.
