    摘要: An optical disc drive (ODD) including a housing, a tray, a panel, a first linkage, and a second linkage is provided. The tray is movably disposed at the housing to move into or move out of the housing. The panel is connected to the tray and located at a side of the housing. The first linkage is rotatably disposed on the panel and located between the housing and the panel. The second linkage is rotatably disposed on the panel and located between the first linkage and the panel. By rotating the first linkage with respect to the panel in a first rotating direction, the second linkage is pushed by the first linkage and rotates with respect to the panel in a second rotating direction opposite to the first rotating direction so as to actuate the tray to move out of the housing.

    摘要: The present invention provides loading and unloading mechanisms for data storage cartridges, drive door mechanisms for data drives, and data drives comprising such loading and unloading and/or drive door mechanisms. Embodiments of the cartridge loading and unloading mechanisms, drive door mechanisms and/or data drives, of the present invention can operate in a manner such that the drive door of the data drive is fully closed before the disk medium is exposed, e.g., before opening of the associated shutter of the cartridge. An embodiment of the cartridge loading and unloading mechanism of the present invention can be powered by the same drive motor assembly that is used to move or transport the cartridge to the optical head assembly used for writing and/or reading of data from the disk medium of the cartridge. Embodiments of the cartridge loading and unloading mechanisms and drive door mechanisms of the present invention can fit within a standard configuration for a data drive. Embodiments of the cartridge loading and unloading mechanisms, drive door mechanisms and/or data drives of the present invention can provide for reliable operation, ease of assembly, as well as simplification of the parts and components necessary for the reliable operation of the loading and unloading mechanism, drive door mechanism and/or data drive.

    摘要: A structure of attaching a disk loader includes: an outer housing being divided into a top case, a bottom case including a bottom plate, and a front panel; and a substantially rectangular frame comprising a disk loading element including a disk tray. The outer housing comprises a first holding unit, a second holding unit. The rectangular frame can be configured to be fixed by a plurality of screws onto the bottom plate. Instead of fixing the rectangular frame to the bottom plate of the bottom case by the plurality of screws, the frame is held in a lateral direction and a vertical direction by the first holding unit and is held in a longitudinal direction by a second holding unit. The first holding unit has a function of allowing the rectangular frame to slide in the longitudinal direction.

    摘要: An inventive recording medium loader includes a connector provided on a chassis for engagement with a front edge of a generally rectangular planar recording medium, and a tray provided on the chassis for transporting the recording medium toward and away from the connector. An engagement piece having a claw to be brought into and out of engagement with a notch formed in the recording medium is provided on the tray, and a cam is provided in an engagement piece movement path on the chassis. Before the forward edge of the recording medium is engaged with the connector, the claw is brought into engagement with the notch of the recording medium by the cam to lock the recording medium on the tray. In this state, the recording medium is brought into engagement with the connector.

    摘要: The present invention provides a recording media library apparatus that includes an inversion unit for inverting a desired or designated recording medium of the double-side recording type so as to correspond to a predetermined driving direction of a drive unit. The inversion unit is installed in any one of multiple of predetermined installing areas separate from a transport mechanism within the library apparatus. By the inversion unit performing necessary inversion of the double-side recording type medium, the same transport mechanism can be used for recording media of both the double-side recording type and the single-side recording type.
