Abstract: In a kitchen extractor ventilator having grease collecting surfaces and means for spraying these surfaces with steam or hot water (see Division F4) the occurrence of a fire in the ventilator operates thermal switches to turn on the sprays, shut off the ventilator fan and close a ventilator damper.
