摘要： A spark wheel for use in cigarette lighters is made from a stack of cutting segments or laminations, each having a series of points or teeth and mounted on an arbor, permanently clamped together between a pair of knurled discs or finger pieces. The segments may preferably be so arranged that successive teeth around the periphery of each segment will traverse the flint with each tooth offset slightly with respect to those in front and behind. The toothed segments may be solid flat discs tilted out of a plane perpendicular to the axis of the spark wheel, or they may be deformed discs such as bent washers, split washers or wave washers.

摘要： A dry shaver comprises a screen member having a multiplicity of apertures of polygonal configuration, and a cutter member having a multiplicity of apertures of the same polygon configuration as the screen apertures. A drive is connected to the cutter member for driving the cutter member along a closed path of the same polygon configuration as the screen and cutter apertures so that all points on the cutter member move along paths of the same size and produce a plurality of shearing actions between the cutting edges of each cutter aperture and cooperating cutting edges of apertures of screen member in each closed path cycle of the drive.

摘要： A battery powered electric shaver wherein a battery powered motor is adapted to drive two members in parallel reciprocation, respectively in antiphase, at least one of said members constituting a movable cutter, wherein the two members are each supported by a mounting incorporating a spring and the spring constants (K1, K2) of the mounting springs are selected in relation to the masses (M1, M2) of the respective members so that square root K1/M1 is substantially equal to square root K2/M2, whereby the two members have substantially the same natural frequency of reciprocation, and wherein the motor is operable under power supplied from the battery to drive said movable members at a frequency of reciprocation substantially equal to said natural frequency.

摘要： A shaving system includes air engaging edge structure fixed in position between a guard member and the cutting edge of a blade member. The hair engaging edge portion has an effective dimension relative to the dimension of hair elements to be shaved such that in the course of a normal shaving stroke the edge portion engages hair elements and produces localized distortion in those engaged hair elements to exert a grasping effect on the individual hair elements which pulls them outwardly from their hair follicles as the shaving system is moved over the skin surface in a shaving stroke.

摘要： A razor cartridge assembly comprising in combination a razor cartridge and an adapter for affixing the cartridge to a razor handle. The cartridge includes plastic platform and cap members joined together with blade means disposed therebetween. A pair of rails extend from the platform and form opposed parallel grooves. The adapter comprises a grip portion and a sabre portion extending from the grip portion. The sabre portion comprises compressible wire-like means disposed in said cartridge grooves. The sabre portion is adapted to be inserted between rails of a cartridge type razor handle whereby to slide the razor cartridge onto the razor handle.
