Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device that includes a back frame and a front cover is disclosed herein. The back frame has a rigid plastic back frame with an elastomeric material bonded to portions of the plastic frame. An elastomeric insert is positioned around a portion of the interior perimeter of the back frame to provide impact resistance. Back frame engagement members are positioned on the perimeter of the rigid plastic back frame. The front cover mates with the back frame to enclose the elastomeric insert and the device. The front cover includes a touch screen cover and a rigid plastic front frame bonded to a perimeter of the touch screen cover. Front cover engagement members extend from the rigid plastic front frame that engage the back frame engagement members to hold the front cover on the back frame and enclose the device.

Abstract: A case for a portable electronic device that includes a device stand attached to a back surface of the case housing is disclosed herein. The device stand is formed by an inner stand and an outer stand connected by releasable hinged connections that are connected to the back surface of the case housing. One or more tracks are formed on an inner surface of the outer stand. The inner stand slides along the one or more tracks. A locking portion such as a cavity or channel on the outer stand locks the inner stand into an open position with respect to the outer stand. At least a portion of the outer stand is flexible such that applying a threshold pressure to the case causes the portion of the outer stand to flex, releasing the inner stand from the locking portion to allow the inner and outer stands to be closed.

Abstract: A water resistant device case including a front and back assembly that mate to enclose an electronic device is disclosed herein. The front assembly includes a rigid front frame, a touch screen cover bonded thereto, an inner bumper attached thereto, and an elastomeric main seal attached around a periphery thereof. The back assembly includes a rigid back frame, an elastomeric over mold formed on an exterior thereof, and an inner bumper attached thereto. A snap tab attached to the back frame mates with a snap hook on the front assembly to hold the front and back assemblies together when the device is enclosed within the case. A main water resistant seal and a secondary water resistant seal are formed around a perimeter of the front and back assemblies. A closed cell foam is used to seal apertures associated with the device's audio inputs and outputs.

Abstract: A water resistant device case includes a front and back assembly that mate to enclose an electronic device. The front assembly includes a rigid front frame, a touch screen cover bonded to the front frame, an inner bumper attached to the rigid front frame and an elastomeric main seal attached around a periphery of the rigid front frame. Abstract: A configurable watch stand capable of supporting and charging a smart watch, such as an Apple Watch is disclosed. Abstract: A charging beacon and system is disclosed. The system comprises one or more charging beacons comprised of one or more interactive charging devices that wirelessly broadcast signals, repeatedly at regular time intervals. Upon receipt of the signal, a user's electronic device process the signal via an application residing on the device and provides various information including notice of the battery charge condition in the electronic device and the proximity of the charging device. The broadcast signal may include a unique identifier that allows the electronic device to process the signal and determine the identity of the charging device emitting the broadcast signal. A plurality of charging devices may be positioned in various locations in the home, at work, in the car, and/or in public places to create a mesh network of charging beacons. The wireless broadcast cast signal may be emitted via a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio and received by a BLE module in the electronic device.

Abstract: A protective sleeve for a stylus is disclosed. The sleeve is designed to provide protection to the stylus while also being capable of providing an enhanced gripping surface. The sleeve includes a tubular component that is tethered or leashed to a conductive cap assembly. The cap assembly includes a conductive touchscreen interface and is adapted to facilitate interaction with a capacitive touchscreen display. The cap assembly is configured to facilitate electrical coupling between the conductive touchscreen interface and the electrical ground circuitry of the stylus for which it is configured when the stylus is in the sleeve and is further adapted to being magnetically secured to the stylus. The conductive touchscreen interface may be formed of a polymer impregnated with conductive particles so as to provide suitable conductivity to interact with the electrostatic field a capacitive touchscreen display, yet avoid scratching display.

Abstract: An access key for a device having a fingerprint activated lock includes an electrically conductive member having surface features formed on a surface thereof that can he recognized by the fingerprint activated lock as a unique fingerprint. A second electrically conductive member is electrically coupled to the first electrically conductive member. The second electrically conductive member is electrically coupled to the body of a user such that the sensor recognizes the first electrically conductive member as a fingerprint. The second electrically conductive member is preferably a ring, stylus or gripping portion upon which the first electrically conductive member is mounted. The electrically conductive member is preferably constructed from a capacitive elastomer such as an electrically conductive silicone. The access key functions as a synthetic fingerprint to limit access to a system to a possessor of the key. Access to the system provided by key can be limited to a predetermined period of time or a selected geographic area.
