    摘要: In an incandescent lamp, comprising a translucent envelope (2) having flattened end (3) of rectangular cross-section, a base element (5) surrounding the flattened end part (3) and having rectangular cross-section, two current lead-ins (7a, 7b) connected with an incandescent body (4) arranged within the envelope (2) and with the base element (5) and thereby with a connecting cable (8), a centering plate (6) with a rectangular opening for receiving the base element (5), wherein the centering plate (6) is made with at least one flange element (10) arranged on the side of the centering plate (6) not facing the envelope (2), the base element (5) being made with thinner plate than the centering plate (6), a locating body (9) stepwisely shaped for receiving the flange element (10) is applied, the locating body (9) made with thinner wall than the centering plate (6) is fixed on the base element (5), has an edge (14) separated from the base element (5) by a gap, wherein the edge (14) of the locating body (9) covers at least partly the at least one flange element (10) of the centering plate (6), the flange element (10) of the centering plate (6) is between the base element (5) and the locating body (9), further the flange element (10) of the centering plate (6) and the locating body (9) are connected by a thermal method of joining.

    摘要: A device for retaining a mercury source in the discharge space of a low-pressure discharge lamp is disclosed. The mercury source retaining device comprises a holder, which has an inner space communicating with the discharge space and a receiver opening for receiving a mercury source. The retaining device further comprises resilient clamping means for clamping the holder in a tubular space segment of the discharge space and resilient retaining means at least partially blocking the receiver opening. The resilient retaining means are adapted for allowing a passage of the mercury source in a direction towards the inner space of the holder, but block the movement of the mercury source through the receiver opening in a direction out of the holder.

    摘要: A lamp base in combination with a low pressure discharge lamp is provided. The low pressure discharge lamp comprises a glass envelope which has an end portion and an axis. A stem is melted into the end portion of the envelope in a gas-tight manner in order to form a seal region. The stem is mounted with an electrode and includes a current in-lead which is connected to the electrode. The lamp base comprises a metallic base shell which is fitted to the seal region. A resilient insert is disposed substantially in the base shell. The resilient insert embraces the seal region ant least partly, and fits resiliently to an interior surface of the base shell. The insert has means suitable for positioning the lamp base in cooperation with further means formed on the surface of the seal region.

The substantially bulb-shaped outer envelope has a wall at least partially of a glass material, and comprises a substantially spherical portion enclosing at least a part of the discharge tube arrangement and an elongated end portion enclosing at least a part of the ballast circuit. The glass wall of the outer envelope is covered with a coating of powder varnish of polyester-blocked isocyanate for uniform spherical luminous intensity distribution, protecting the envelope against mechanical shocks and providing for shatter containment.
