摘要： Systems, methodologies, and devices are described that facilitate filtering content sent to a mobile device(s) by a content provider via a core network. A content provider can determine a content rating for content, and/or the core network and/or mobile device can determine or infer a content rating for unrated content from a content provider, based in part on predefined content rating criteria. A mobile device user can specify a desired content rating preference for the mobile device. A filter(s) respectively associated with the core network and/or mobile device can filter the content based in part on the content rating of the content and the content rating preference of the mobile device to which the content is being sent. Content that does not meet a content rating threshold can be filtered out and stored in a secure content folder accessible using a security code or discarded.

The message includes identification information identifying a message-type associated with the message, reply-to information, and user information. The method further includes determining the received message is a broadcast message based on the message-type of the message and determining the message includes the reply-to information describing a reply-to address. The method additionally includes passing the user information contained within the message to a user interface when the message is a broadcast message including reply-to information and receiving an instruction from the user interface. The instruction is based on the user information and user input responsive to the user information. The method further includes producing and sending a reply message addressed to the reply-to address responsive to the instruction.

摘要： Techniques for conveying reports for SMS messages in wireless communication networks that utilize CDMA air interface (e.g., GSM1x and CDMA networks). Two new messages SMS Deliver Report Message and SMS Submit Report Message are defined for CDMA SMS. These report messages may be used to more fully convey the information in the SMS-Deliver-Report TPDU and SMS-Submit-Report TPDU defined in GSM SMS. A new Report_Req field is also provided in the Reply Option subparameter of the SMS Deliver Message and SMS Submit Message defined in CDMA SMS. This new field may be used to request a report for an SMS message to be sent by the message's recipient. Each report message may include (1) a first value indicative of whether the SMS message was received correctly or in error, (2) a second value indicative of a type of error, if any, encountered for the SMS message, and (3) user data.

摘要： To provide “transparent” broadcast services for a multi-mode wireless device capable of communicating with multiple wireless communication networks, a composite set of pertinent parameters for broadcast messages used by the multiple networks is defined. The parameters of the broadcast message for each network are mapped to corresponding parameters in the composite set. The composite set of parameters is used for processing and displaying broadcast messages received from the multiple networks. A broadcast message for each network (e.g., a CBS message in GSM or a broadcast SMS message in CDMA) is received and processed in accordance with the parameters of the message and filtering configurations applicable for the network. The parameters of the broadcast message are mapped to corresponding parameters in the composite set. The broadcast message is further processed and displayed based on the parameters in the composite set.

摘要： Apparatus and methods of differentiated data session access on a wireless communication device and dynamic source determination of provisioning information on a wireless communication device are disclosed. User Identity Modules (UIMs) are provisioned such that network-service applications resident on the wireless device are associated with a corresponding application profile within the UIM. Each network-service application has a corresponding network address identifier defined within the user profile. The network address associated with the identifier is used to establish a data session for the corresponding network service application. By providing for application-specific network addresses, service providers and/or network operators can differentiate between what services a user is accessing during a data session. In addition, the UIMs may be provisioned with priority category identifiers that allow the associated network-service application to be prioritized for data session establishment.

摘要： Techniques to send GSM CBS messages over a CDMA air interface. The encapsulation of a GSM CBS message in CDMA messages may be achieved using various schemes. An indication is provided at each of a number of pertinent layers to allow the terminals to determine whether a GSM CBS message or a CDMA broadcast SMS message was sent. These indications include (1) a value in a designated field or subfield of a Data Burst Message, (2) a new value for a Category field in a Service Category parameter of an SMS Broadcast Message, and (3) a new value for a Msg_Encoding field in a User Data subparameter of the SMS Deliver Message.

Present aspects accomplish such by retrieving device profile information in response to the network operator's removable module being associated with (i.e., inserted into) a wireless device and communicating the device profile information to the network operator or the like. This allows for the network operator or third party entity to track and/or monitor the type of wireless devices existing in their respective wireless network. In addition, the automated nature of the tracking obviates the need for the subscribers/users of the removable modules to manually or otherwise provide the device identification to the network operators.
