An input means, separated from the handle bar, provides a signal for driving the motor driver slightly. A radiographic apparatus includes a C-shaped arm for supporting an X-ray tube at one end thereof and an image receiving unit at the other end, and an arm holder for slidably supporting the C-shaped arm for rotation about a center of an arc thereof. The arm holder has a hollow shaft supported therein to extend substantially parallel to an axis of the center of the arc, and a take-up drum supported on the hollow shaft. A drum drive device is operable in response to rotation of the C-shaped arm to rotate the take-up drum. A plurality of cables are connected to the X-ray tube and the image receiving unit, respectively. The cables are gathered into a bundle adjacent the X-ray tube or the image receiving unit, the bundle being guided by an outer periphery of the C-shaped arm to be wound on the take-up drum. The bundle further extends through the take-up drum and the hollow shaft into and then out of the hollow shaft.

An optical fiber distribution module having a connection board, optical connector adaptors and a storage section is provided. An array of the optical connector adaptors forms the connection board, where the optical connectors connect in-use optical fibers. The storage section, located in a separate section of the module, stores optical fibers which are not-in use. The optical fiber distribution module also includes a plurality of cord sorting boards having a plurality of fiber cord passageways. The fiber cord passageways are configured to accommodate and retain at least one optical fiber such that the optical fiber is arranged between the connection board and the storage section. In addition, both the in-use and not-in use optical fibers insert into the fiber cord passageway. The in-use optical fibers connect to the optical connector adaptors and the not-in use optical fibers are stored in the storage section as the in-use optical fibers and the not-in use optical fibers are inserted within the fiber cord passageways.

A lever and a member for supporting a normally compressed spring are attached to the table rotatably, and they are also connected to each other rotatably with respect to each other around a connector shaft such that the force of the spring tends to rotate the lever in the direction of causing the support column to move upward. The spring constant of the spring and the relative positions of the lever and the spring-supporting member are determined such that the support column can be moved manually upward or downward.

An X-ray tube (3) is rotated about its focal point along a plane perpendicular to a body axis of a patient by an X-ray tube rotation driver and thus the X-ray irradiation field moves. When the side of the X-ray irradiation field reaches an edge detector (6a) in the edge part of the flat panel detector, the edge detector detects X-ray and provides a signal to a controller. The controller controls the X-ray limiting device (4a) to move shield blades thereof to limit the range of the X-ray irradiation field. The above structure makes it possible to move the center of the X-ray irradiation field without moving the patient and also to prevent the X-ray irradiation field from going outside of the flat panel detector.
