Abstract:
A supporting member usable with a backlight unit of an image display apparatus includes a supporting portion that is formed of a transparent material, is disposed below the diffuser plate to support the diffuser plate, and has a first end being in contact with the diffuser plate; and a base that is formed at a second end of the supporting portion and fixes the supporting portion to an under chassis of the backlight unit.
Abstract:
A projecting lens device includes a first projecting lens system which enlarges and projects an incident image and light onto a projection plane, a second projecting lens system which guides an image generated by an image generator and the light of an illumination system to the first projecting lens system, and a main lens barrel and a sub lens barrel in which the first projecting lens system and the second projecting lens system are installed. The main lens barrel is made of a thermally conductive material such as aluminum, the sub lens barrel is disposed in the rear of the main lens barrel, and a heat prevention member is disposed between the main lens barrel and the first projecting lens system.

Abstract:
A fixing structure for fixing a color wheel to a base of a projector is provided. The color wheel is rotatably installed and includes a color rotating disc having a plurality of color filters selectively transmitting light of a predetermined wavelength, and a driving source which drives the color rotating disc. The fixing structure includes a first cover member coupled to a base, and a second cover member coupled to the first cover member and together therewith encompassing the color wheel. A bracket is provided to which the color wheel is coupled, and a coupling unit couples the bracket to the second cover member. A buffer member is provided between the first and second cover members and between the bracket and the second cover member for reducing vibration.
Abstract:
An optical assembly for a projection system includes a light tunnel, a light tunnel holder that supports the light tunnel, an exterior casing that supports the light tunnel holder, a resilient member disposed between the light tunnel holder and the exterior casing to resiliently support the light tunnel holder, and an aligning unit that is disposed opposite the resilient member to align the light tunnel. The aligning unit can have at least one holder protrusion formed on an outer surface of the light tunnel holder, and a movable member that has a pressing protrusion for contact with the holder protrusion. The movable member slides on the outside of the light tunnel holder.
Abstract:
A lamp assembling apparatus that assembles a lamp unit of an optical engine having a lamp and a lamp housing to support the lamp, and includes an illuminator through which light emitted from the lamp of the lamp unit passes, a screen on which an image is formed by the light passed through the illuminator, a lamp control unit to adjust a position of the lamp with respect to the lamp housing, a lamp fastening unit to fasten the lamp to the lamp housing in a state that the lamp is adjusted in position by the lamp control unit, and a controller to determine the image formed on the screen and to control the lamp control unit and the lamp fastening unit to bring the lamp into focus and then fasten the lamp to the lamp housing.
Abstract:
A digital micro-mirror assembly for an optical projection system includes a DMD module with a control board. The control board is provided with a first fixing member, and a DMD is mounted on one side of the control board. A DMD holder resiliently supports a perimeter of the DMD, and an optical holder is provided with a second fixing member to support the DMD module. A fastening member is engaged with the first and the second fixing members to integrally connect the DMD module and the optical holder.
