The data of a list image is generated so that, before the playback unit plays back a content with a playback time limit, the list image includes information indicating an allowed playback period of the content, and, after the playback unit plays back the content, the list image includes information indicating the playback time limit of the content.

    摘要： Methods to set a viewing and/or listening term are classified into two types, which are a fixed-time-length type to limit time length and a fixed-expiration-time type to limit expiration time. And the timings of license acquisition are classified into two types which are an immediate-acquisition type and a point-of-use type. The type of the timing of license acquisition is written to a meta data which is to be sent to a terminal before initiating download. The terminal determines the timing of license acquisition according to the meta data. When contents are point-of-use type, the terminal doesn't acquire a key and an expiration time information until a time of initiating playback. On the other hand, when contents are immediate-acquisition type, the terminal acquires the key and the expiration time information at any point of time. Since the key is acquired at the early timing such as download completion timing, a reaction velocity in response to a playback instruction can be heighten.

The device (111) includes: a device side communication unit (1) that receives a request for the information about the devices within the LAN from the terminal (121); and a device control unit (6) that acquires the information about the devices within the LAN (110) from the devices within the LAN (110). When receiving the request from the terminal (121), the device side communication unit (1) further transmits, as a response, the information acquired by the device control unit (6) to the terminal (121).

    摘要： In a service of downloading contents whose contract is to be automatically renewed, an establishing of a synchronization between information about a period stored on the side of a terminal and information about a period to be renewed on the side of a server, causes a problem of load increase and others because a large amount of contents have to be synchronized at frequent intervals.In consideration thereof, a method for contents viewing permission takes two types of automatic renewal and non-automatic renewal, and the type is described in a meta data transmitted to the terminal at the time of DL registration. In accordance with the meta data, when the type is of the automatic renewal, even if the license is already expired, the terminal makes a display of “automatic renewal” on a listing-display screen of an information display section with no conditions, at a point in time before a command comes from a user for playback and before the license is renewed in response thereto. And when the type is of the non-automatic renewal, an expiration date is checked, and the date or whether the date is expired or not is displayed on the listing-display screen.
