Abstract: The present invention relates to an insulin pump having triple functions for the efficient regulation of a blood glucose concentration and an insulin injection system comprising the same. The insulin pump comprises an insulin syringe into which an insulin is stored, a pump to pressurize the insulin syringe in response to a programmed control signal, a control device that generates the programmed control signal to control the pump, a mode selection button to determine an insulin injection mode, and an operating button to command an insulin injection. The insulin injection mode is comprised of a base mode that continuously infuses the insulin at a basic rate to control a blood glucose concentration at a fasting, a food mode that infuses the insulin at a bulk to control the blood glucose concentration after food intake, and an activation mode that infuses the insulin in pulses for a predetermined time period. Preferably, the insulin pump complementarity cooperates with a physiological saline syringe pump that infuses physiological saline solution immediately after the infusion of the insulin at the activation mode.

Abstract: A biological detection method for dioxin compounds in serum and its diagnostic use in predicting metabolic syndrome and related conditions are disclosed. The method of detecting dioxin compounds include obtaining a serum sample by heat-inactivating total serum obtained from a subject, preparing a transformed cell line by introducing a recombinant vector comprising a gene construct in which at least one dioxin-responsive element is operably linked to a promoter and a reporter gene into a host cell, culturing the transformed cell line with the serum sample, detecting the activation of the reporter gene in the transformed cell line, and determining that the dioxin compound is included in the serum sample when the activation of the reporter gene is detected. The serum detected by the method can be used as a surrogate serum biomarker to correlate serum content with disease factors and to predict the occurrence of disease and determine treatability.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel biological detection method for dioxins in serum and a diagnostic use thereof in metabolic syndrome and related conditions. More particularly, according to the present invention, a significant correlation between dioxin content in serum and physical variables has been confirmed by measuring luciferase activity through the use of serum as a whole and cells transformed with a recombinant vector comprising a gene construct in which a dioxin responsive element, a promoter and a reporter gene are operably linked. And there is an improvement in this method of the present invention over the conventional methods which require a preprocessing step in order to purify dioxins from serum, by which plural samples can be analyzed easily and accurately even with a very small amount of each because of the use of serum as a whole. Therefore, the detection system of the present invention which involves total serum processing in a genetically transformed cell line comprising a recombinant reporter gene whose expression is modified by dioxin compounds can be effectively used for the biological detection of dioxins in serum. This method can also be used to research the correlation between specific POPs and patient's disease factors by accurate detection of POPs such as dioxins in the serum, and further this method can be effectively used to predict the occurrence of disease and to determine treatability.

Abstract: The present invention relates to system and method for informing a critical situation by using network, to ask for help about present danger to Crime Prevention Center. When a user is facing a dangerous person, the user inputs images or a voice of the dangerous person to ask for help using an image input apparatus in a stealthy way. Then, the image input apparatus automatically transmits the inputted image data and/or voice data as well as present position data of the user to a security system. Thereby, the user can inform the security system of his danger even if the user is having difficulty in inputting an alarm button or is on his movement, and can operate the image input apparatus at will without limitation of position.
